1. Teach the word “car”
1) Show a toy car and ask: What is it → car2) Read: in chorus → individual3) Make some sentences.
2. Teach the sentence “Get in the car.”
1) Put two chairs in a line. Ask a pupil to sit in the front chair and act as a car driver. Pretend toget in the car by bending over and sitting in the back chair. → Get in the car.2) Read: get in → Get in the car.3) Practice:A. Teacher give the instructions first and let the pupils act it out.B. Let a pupil give the instructions and othersact it out.

3. Teach the sentence “Get out of the car”.

4. Teach the word “bus”
The teaching method is the same to step 1.
5. Teach the sentence “Get on the bus”

6. Teach the sentence “Get off the bus”
The teaching method is the same to step 3.
Consolidation
1. Look and give the simple instructions.
Ask one pupil to act and others give the simpleinstructions.
2. Play a game: Simon says ( T → S1)
Mix these four instructions together.

Teaching aims:
1.知识目标:掌握交通工具类的英语单词和字母Gg和Hh。
2.能力目标:培养学生的听说能力。
3.情感目标:教育学生要讲文明,讲礼貌,讲卫生。
Difficult and key points: Pronounce words correctly.
Teaching aids: a cassette player, pictrure cards, word cards
Teaching procedure:

2.Look at the alphabet cards and say the rhyme
Presentation
1. Teach the letter “Gg”
1) Point to a girl and say:” She’s a girl.” Show the word card “girl” to the pupils.2) Read: girl3) Point to the word card and say:” The first letter of the “girl” is “g”. Repeat several times “g”.4) Read: g → g /g/ girl5) Show the capital letter “G” and teach the pupils to write the letters.
2. Teach the letter “Hh”

1) Show the picture “car” and ask:” What is it ” → car. Then show the picture “taxi” and ask:” Is

6. Teach the words “ferry” and “train”.
The teaching method is the same to 3.
Consolidation
1. Pepeat or clap your hands.
First let the pupils look at the pictures and play the game. Then let them look at the words and play it.
2. A flashing game
Show the pictures quickly and ask them:” What do yo see ”

Ask the pupils to look at the screen and guess:” What is it ” → plane, bus, train and taxi
Presentation
1. Teach the sentence “ I go to Beijing by plane”
1) Ask the pupils to look at the Great Wall and ask:” Where is it ” → Beijing2) Read: Beijing & the Great Wall 3) Ask some questions: Have you been to Beijing How do you go to Beijing → I go to Beijing by plane.4) Repeat: I go to Beijing by plane.5) Ask some questions: How do you go to Beijing Why do you go to Beijing by ... → It’s fast. It’s cheap. ...6) Ask some more able pupils to ask the question:” How do you go to Beijing ”7) Repeat: How do you go to Beijing 8) Ask and answer in pairs.

3. Practice
1) Open the book and turn to page 20. Introduce the four different places and let the pupils follow.2) Let the pupils to pretend the children in the picture and ask and answer in pairs, draw the routes and find out the transport they use.3) Ask some groups to ask and answer in pairs, then listen to the tape and check are they right or not.
Consolidation
1. Draw a picture and introduce “My dream”
Ask the pupils to draw their favourite form of transport and show their own transport pictures and introduce their dream.
2. Group work
Four players take turns rolling a dice and moving forward ont the board according to the number on the dice. They must think of a place and say “I go to ...(the name of the place) by ...(the word ont the square they stop at)”.
