学习昆虫ladybird, fly, bee, butterfly, grasshopper, stick-insect, mantis, mosquito, beetle, ant的名称，能准确认读。
能用What’s this/that What are these/those 来进行问答，掌握单复数的不同用法。
能介绍自己喜欢的一种昆虫。

1）任务前期准备阶段（PRE-TASK PREPARATION）
通过猜一猜、找一找的游戏引出本课主题—昆虫，在轻松愉快的气氛中进入教学。

1 Listen & guess 教师出一个谜语请学生猜：Which letter can fly 通过猜谜，调动学生的积极性，同时引出昆虫bee。
2 Read & guess 老师提供一些谜语，让学生按小组先朗读，再猜是什么。 谜语有昆虫和动物两种，目的在于通过阅读复习以前学过的单词，同时引出所要学习的内容。

出示一些昆虫图片，让学生了解不同昆虫的名称。

1 Watch DVD 看<虫虫危机>录像, 学生观察其中有哪些昆虫。 利用学生的喜好，引出学习内容，这样既自然，又容易让学生接受。
2 ladybird, fly, butterfly, grasshopper, beetle, stick-insect, mosquito, ant, mantis, 出示图片，学习单词fly-butterflybird-ladybirdgrass-grasshopperstick-insectbeetle: beemantis: manmosquito: queenant(按发音规律自己拼写) 用已有的知识学习新的合成词，另外几个单词则采用发音规律的方式帮助学生拼写和记忆。
B．新知识的操练（PRACTICE）

运用找单词的游戏比赛来检验学生对单词的掌握情况。

2 Compete 学生以小组为单位，看哪组找的单词最多，最快。 运用这个游戏使学生对单词有进一步的掌握，同时使单词拼写更有趣。

1 Pattern:What’s this/that It’s … 出示刚才学习的昆虫，让学生两人一组操练句子，为图片配音，注意this和that的区别。 让学生观察什么情况下用this或that，并通过配音提高学生参与意识。
2 Read after the cassette 学生跟着磁带读课文内容。 让学生正确模仿发音，并了解课文。
3 Pattern:What are these What are those They’re… 利用DVD中的一些画面操练句子，注意提问所站的位置，并能简单介绍这些昆虫。 通过句子操练，掌握these/those的用法。
b）意义性操练（MEANINGFUL PRACTICE）
通过小组阅读，了解蚂蚁的一些信息。
