Ⅰ Warm-up
T: hello! Boys and girls! How are you doing recently
S1: very good. Saturday I went to a park with my mother.
S2: as usual. I stay at home and watch TV during the weekend.
S3: it’s bad. I got a ticket to the concert of SHE. But I had a lot of homework to do. So I had to give up my favourite concert and stayed at home.

T: that’s great. Anyway, I think you all have a wonderful weekend, cause you did what you need to do or what you want to do. That means your ambition comes true. Ok. So much about this. Now, let’s begin our class.
Ⅱ Presentation and Drill
1. New words
T: what do you call it ( show the picture of eggs on the screen)
Ss: 鸡蛋(eggs)
T: right. Then do you know how to express it in English
Ss: sorry. I don’t know.
T: ok. It doesn’t matter. Follow me! Open your mouth. Egg([eɡ]). Say [eɡ].
Ss: [eɡ]
T: ok. Very good. Do you like it
Ss: yeah. Very much.
T: usually, when do you eat it
Ss: in the morning.
T: uh-huh. Yeah. In chinese, it’s called 早饭 or 早点. In English, we say breakfast. Follow me! Breakfast.
Ss: breakfast.
T: then do you know the English for 午餐和晚餐？maybe you don’t know. That’s lunch and supper. Ok. Repeat it!
T: what do you usually eat for your breakfast
Ss: 稀饭，鸡蛋，牛奶….
T：right. That’s it. 稀饭 is porridge. Milk is 牛奶. We all like it, right
T: ok. Now, I have a question for all you boys and girls. Where does egg come from.
Ss: 鸡生的.
T: yeah. You are great. How to say 鸡 in English？let me tell you. Usually, 鸡can be divided into a few parts: the male ones, the female ones, the old females, the little ones. So we got a few words for it.(show the words chick, chicken, hen, cock on the screen with picture)
T: do you know any other animals which are similar to 鸡？
Ss: 鸭子，鹅.
T: yeah. You are so clever. Duck is 鸭子. 鹅 is goose.
2. new sentence
T: boys and girls, do you remember how to say 那是什么？we learned it in Unit 2.
Ss: what’s that.
T: great. Well done. Then do you know how to say 这些是什么and 那些是什么？
Ss: sorry.
T: it doesn’t matter. Today we will learn these two new sentences.( show the two sentences on the screen) what are these What are those For these two sentences, we say “ these are….those are….” When we answer them. Now let’s practice. What are these (point to some eggs)
Ss: these are eggs.
T: what are those (ponit to some apples)
Ss: those are apples.
Ⅲ Game Time
Play a game.
Rules: in this game, the students are divided into a few groups. The teacher shows a lot of pictures about egg, chick,etc. on the screen and lets some student of the groups say its English name. The group which speaks it out the very firs will win one score. At last, the group whose scores are highest is the winner.
