一、教学目标
1．能阅读并理解课文D部分短文；
2．能理解单词talktive ,pretty ,scold ,loudly ,angry ,rude ,shopkepper;
3．能唱课文E部分英语歌曲；
4．训练提高学生的阅读理解能力，加强学生的文明修养。
二、教学重点及难点
重点：阅读和理解短文；唱英语歌曲。
难点：准确理解短文大意。
三、教学准备
一张鹦鹉的图片、单词卡片、教学挂图、教学磁带等。
四、教学步骤
Step 1 Warming up
1. 师生问候。
2. 唱已学的英语歌曲。
Step 2 Presentation and drill
出示 鹦鹉 的图片。
T:Look! I have a pet .This is my pet .What is it It’s a parrot . 板书单词parrot并带读.I like it very much ,because it is pretty and talkative .（板书单词pretty,talkative ）But my mother doesn’t like it ,because our flat is too small and the parrot is noisy and rude .My mother is very angry and scolds the parrot and me .I can’t have this parrot now .I don’t feel happy .
边讲故事边解释其中单词的含义。
pretty :beautiful talkative : like talking very much
flat: house noisy: too much noise
Step 3 Practice
1．快速阅读课文D部分，掌握大意，然后回答问题。
T: Today we are going to learn Part D. Jane has a pet too. Please read the story quickly and tell me :What is Jane’s old pet Why is her mother angry What is her new pet
2．听录音，跟读。
3．再次仔细阅读课文，完成文后的习题。可讨论合作完成；难点可请老师帮助。
4．自由朗读课文。
Step 4 Consolidation
1．两人一组为故事设计对话。教师一句一句慢速朗读课文D部分，每句后停顿几秒，学生设计对话，若要插入对话则要举手喊。
T:Jane wants to have a puppy .
S1 :Stop .
分角色用对话的形式将课文内容表演出来。
2．评价。
3．学唱英语歌曲。
4．家庭作业。听磁带，朗读课文。
1）听录音，熟悉课文。
2）听写单词。
