Lesson25: Lions and Tigers
一、教学目标：
知识目标:学生能够掌握新单词tiger、lion、elephant 和kangaroo及对应的身体部位stripes mane trunk和pouch，能达到听、说、读、写的目的，并且能明白教师的提问并能做出回答如：Does a tiger have a mane？What has a mane
过程与方法：①灵活使用教材，把第一部分和第二部分同步讲授。②利用儿歌、猜谜语、做游戏、问答操练的方式激起他们的兴趣吸引他们积极参与。
情感态度价值观：让孩子们在开放、民主的课堂中，保持学习英语的积极态度。引导学生树立爱护动物、保护动物的正确思想。
二、教学重难点：
能用所学句型描述动物、讨论动物的特征。
三、教具准备：
录音机；写着“Animals at the Zoo”的“门牌”；tiger、lion、elephant 和kangaroo的卡片，并用纸覆盖上。mane鬣毛、 stripes斑纹、trunk象鼻、 pouch育儿袋的图片。
四、教学过程：
(一)Class Opening ang Review
1. Greeting :Hello ,everyone !
2. Review :
⑴教师指着自己的nose和学生做问答练习：
T: Boys and girls, What’ this (问单个学生)
S1:It’s a nose.
T:A nose Is this a nose (用怀疑的表情问全体学生)
Ss: Yes , it’s a nose .
T: Yes, very good. it’s a nose. Do you have a nose (指着一名学生的鼻子问。)
S2:Yes, I have a nose.
接下来可以让同伴一组用相同的形式用eyes、 ears 和mouth做替换联系.
设计意图：利用这种形式开始本节课，目的是在复习五官的同时业帮助学生理解特殊疑问句和一般疑问句，
T: (教师用手指着自己的五官教学生说儿歌)Now, let’s say a chant. I have eyes ,I have nose, I have ears and mouth, too.
(这个儿歌可以加深动词“have”在孩子们心目中的印象，而且琅琅上口的儿歌定会激起学生的兴趣。)
T：What does he/she have？这时引导同学们说（以一个男生为例）：S: He has eyes, he has nose, he has ears and mouth, too. （把动词“have”变换为“has”,让学生明白如果主语为第三人称单数时谓语动词的变化。但在课堂上我们并不这样告诉孩子，但可以教他们这样一个顺口溜：动词have真奇怪，遇到he、she变has.）
(二)New Concepts
1．Introduce new words : lion, mane
T:Class , do you like to go to the zoo
Ss: Yes , I like .
T: Today , I will take you to the zoo .Are you happy
Ss: Yes , We are happy .
T: Now, Let’s go to the zoo! Read after me Boys and girls! Let’s go to the zoo!
Ss: Let’s go to the zoo!
Put the card “Animals at the Zoo” on the blackboard and draw a door .并Read the words ,understand “animals”.
设计意图：孩子们喜欢去动物园，而我恰恰创设了这样一个逛动物园的情景，帮助学生通过逛动物园获取语言知识，避免了那种“习得”式的学习以及死记硬背和机械性操练的教学倾向。
T:OK, let’s see what animals at the zoo Do you want to know the animal friend s Guess the name , OK
T: Please get ready . Listen !
⑴I’m very big, I am the king of the forest, I have fur、paws tail and sharp teeth, I like to eat meat. I have a mane. Do you know who I am (遇到学生听不同的句子教师可以运用体态语言或直接翻译一遍)
Ss:狮子！（当学生猜出是狮子时，教师要撕掉掩盖动物的纸。）
T: Yes, this is a lion . Read after me: lion!
Ss: Lion.
T: What does a lion have
Ss:(学生会像刚才老师一样说出狮子的一些特征。)What’s this (当学生回答不出时我们可以告诉他们是鬣毛，读作：Mane 然后利用各种方式领读。
设计意图：这个环节我采用的是任务性的教学途径，学生的任务是猜出这是什么动物，在完成任务的过程中学生容易看到成就，体验成功，激发学生的学习兴趣，也有利于激发自我完善的欲望，启动不断学习的内在动力。
2. Practice :
T: What has a mane （指着狮子）
Ss: A lion has a mane.
T: A lion has a mane. Does a dog have a mane (把鬣毛放在狗的脖子上演示。)
Ss: No , a lion has a mane.
3.Introduce : tiger , stripes ,elephant , trunk
⑵T: I am the king of the forest, too .I have fur、paws tail and sharp teeth, I like to eat meat. I have stripes.（后面的步骤和上面一样，在这里就不再重复。）
⑶T：The next animal is very special . I have a long nose!（利用手势形容长鼻子）
Ss: 大象！
T: Yes, it’s an elephant. Read after me: elephant!
Ss: Elephant.
T: Point to the elephant’s long nose ：trunk. Read after me: trunk.
Ss: Trunk！
T: Does a lion have a trunk
Ss: No.
T: What has a trunk？
Ss: An elephant has a trunk.
（也可以拿着象鼻放在任何一名学生鼻子上问学生：Does_____ have a trunk ）
设计意图：幽默——英语教学的得力助手，适当运用可以缓解课堂气氛，让学生感到英语学习的快乐。
4. Practice in pairs :
S1: Does a tiger have a trunk
S2: No.
S1: What has a trunk
S2: An elephant has a trunk.
设计意图：为学生提供自主学习和相互交流的机会以及充分表现和自我发展的空间，在小组讨论的过程中要特别关注性格内向或学习有困难的学生，尽可能多地给他们表现的机会。
5.Introduce : kangaroo
⑷：I have a bag on my stomach. My baby lives in it. (虽然bag这个词用的可能不太恰当，但只要能让学生猜出是什么动物就行了，一会儿再告诉他们育儿袋是：pouch.)
6. Show a chant：(任选.)
动物园，动物多，小朋友，听我说，
Tiger Tiger 是老虎，
凶猛的老虎有斑纹，Stripes Stripes 是斑纹；
Lion Lion 金毛狮，
金色的狮子有鬣毛，Mane Mane 是鬣毛；
Elephant Elephant 是大象，
可爱的大象鼻子长，Trunk Trunk 是象鼻；
Kangaroo Kangaroo 是袋鼠，
育儿袋里装宝宝，Pouch Pouch 育儿袋；
动物特征记得牢，保护动物我第一。
7. Listen and follow the tape to read the book .
设计意图：朗读课文是语言输入的一种传统的但是最简便的方式，这是所有学生要达到的最低目标，所以应给以足够的重视。
8. Practice in small groups :
Introduce the animal that you like with your partner .
设计意图：检查学生的理解情况，表扬那些能流利介绍的同学，有大部分学生能理解刚学知识，但脑海里并没有清晰的印象，下面的环节要着重注意这些同学。
