Lesson31 The Lonely Lion
一、教学目标
1、知识目标：
掌握单词dreaming feeding hugging lonely，了解句型Why Because__________.的用法。
2．情感目标：
通过学生对动物的兴趣，激发学生学习英语的浓厚兴趣，培养他们英语学习的主动性，使他们养成大胆说英语的习惯，体会学习过程的成就感和快乐。
3．技能目标：
使学生掌握一定的语言知识和基本技能，建立初步的语感，获得基本的语言运用能力，培养学生的英语阅读理解能力。
二、教学重点、难点
重点：掌握单词dreaming feeding hugging lonely，了解句型Why Because__________.的用法。
难点：理解“The Lonely Lion”故事的内容，理解句型Why ？Because__________.的用法。
三、教学准备
动物的图片，单词卡片，录音机
四、教学过程
（一）、Class Opening and Review.
1、Greeting
2、Let’s chant:“THE ZOO IS FUN”(边说边带动作，活跃课堂气氛)
3、 Play a game:“WHAT’S MISSING”(复兴动物的名称、地名。)
4、What are you doing 提问学生复习现在进行时，为新授做铺垫。
(二)、Key Concepts.
1.dreaming feeding hugging lonely
INTRODUCE
T: What animals do you like
S: I like ______.
T:(出示课本中大象的图片) I like this. What’s this
S; It’s an elephant.
T: What is the elephant doing
The elephant is dreaming. Read after me dreaming, dreaming.
T: What is the elephant doing
S: The elephant is dreaming.板书dreaming.
之后，教师自己做睡觉的姿势，并说：“I am dreaming.” What are you doing
What is he/doing (这样可以加深学生对所学知识的理解，达到学以致用。)
T: I like this, too. What are the monkeys doing
用同样的方法学习feeding hugging lonely三个单词。
教师用What is/are_______ doing 反复提问学生。
PRACTICE
小组内进行对话练习，教师巡视。分组让学生用同样的句式提问。发现问题及时纠正，对有困难的学生教师给予鼓励或帮助。并分组展示。(主要检查学生的掌握情况，同时可以调动英语检查学生的学习积极性)

教师继续出示大象睡觉的图片，“Do you like the elephant ”
S: Yes.
T: Why Because he is dreaming. 教学”because”
T:做出很冷的动作I need my coat and gloves. Why Who can tell me
S: Because it’s cold outside.
教师再问几个类似的问题，是学生理解Why Because __________.的含义和用法。之后小组练习（让学生对所学的知识达到学以致用，发现不足，及时改正）
3. Story “The Lonely Lion”
阅读准备
讨论动物园的动物
Where do animals live at the zoo
What do they eat ……
阅读故事
学生看图读故事，根据图画理解故事意思。
听录音
讨论故事
学生提出不懂的地方，师生共同解决。
教师或学生提问
如：How does the lion fell
What does the lion want
What did the monkey do for the lion？……
再次听录音。
