教学目标Teaching aims :
a. Enable Ss to master these five phrases “making kites , collecting stamps , diving , playing the violin and riding a bike .”
b. Help Ss understand “What’s your hobby I like …. ”and use these sentences in proper situation .
c. Let Ss know the good hobbies are good for themselves .

Five phrases and the sentences “What’s your hobby I like …. ”

Help Ss spell and write the phrases and help them use these phrases and sentences in suitable circumstance .

Step 1 :Warm-up
Everyday proverb“Knowledge is power.”
Sing a song “I love go hiking”
Divide Ss into two groups , and say : Group 1 ,go go go ….
Play a guessing game.
叫学生到前面表演问What am I doing 下面的学生猜, 复习动词ing形式的短语。
c. Free Talk
T: Do you like playing the piano
S: Yes ./No.
….
Step 2 Presentation

Ss : Yes .
T : You can guess
S1: Do you like ….
T : Maybe .
S2 : Do you like ….

T: Look ,I like playing computer games .I like drawing pictures .I like Listening to music .(CAI shows my hobbies)
T : They are my hobbies .
( Ask Ss to read “hobby”)
T writes “hobby” and ask Ss to spell .

T writes these sentences on the board .
Sn: I like listening to music .
b.Teach “playing the violin”
T : Do you like listening to music
Ss : Yes .
T : OK. Let’s listen . (CAI play the music of violin )
T: Is it nice What’s this music
S1 : Violin !
(CAI shows the picture of the violin )
T guide the Ss to read and act .
T : In our school , Mr. Zheng can play the violin and he likes playing the violin .
T guides Ss to read “playing the violin”.
(CAI shows four pictures , pop stars )
T : Now ,guess .Who likes playing the violin
Discuss in groups .
T : Zhou Jielun likes playing the violin .
c. Teach “ diving”
(CAI shows Tian Liang’s photo )
T : What about Tian Liang
T : What does Tian Liang like doing
S1: Diving .
Dive-----Diving ,teacher asks Ss to pay attention to “E”
Spell “diving” and do the action .

T/S : diving.
d.Teach “collecting stamps”
T: look, what’s this 利用实物展台出示邮票。
S1 : a stamp.
T : How many stamps can you see
T guides Ss to read “stamps”.
T : I like collecting stamps .
Play a spelling game . Who can spell it quickly
T : I like collecting leaves . What about you
S1: I like collecting ….
S2: I like collecting ….
S3: I like collecting ….

T :I like collecting kites .
e. Teach “making kites”
T : Look ,I have many kites .
T guides Ss to read “kites”
T : I like flying kites .And I can make kites .
现场演示制作Teach “make kites”
Pay attention to “E”. “making kites”.
T spells “make” and Ss spell “making”.
T: Now , Let’s go and fly kites in the park .
f.Teach “riding a bike”
T : How can we go to the park
S1: By bike .
T: Good .Look at the boy, oh, How does he go to school 出示男孩骑车子的视频。
T teaches “ride a bike”.
T : I go to work by bike .I like riding a bike .
What about you
S1: I like riding a bike , too . 此处强调骑车要注意安全。
T asks S to spell “riding”
Look over the spelling .
Step 3 Practice
Let’s chant .
Hobby, hobby, What’s your hobby
Playing ,playing , I like playing the violin.
Diving ,diving ,I like diving .
Collecting ,collecting ,I like collecting stamps.
Making ,making ,I like making kites.
Riding ,riding ,I like riding a bike. (CAI shows the chant.)
b. “play a game “sharp eyes” (CAI shows the words quickly)
Guessing the stars’ hobbies. (CAI shows the pictures of the stars)
Step 4 Consolidation and Extension
1.Pass the toy dog.
