Step 1.Organizing the teaching1.Greetings2.Sing an English song.Step 2. Revision:1.Review something about the Christmas holiday.Design the day as “Christmas”. Say “Merry Christmas” and ask the class to respond with “Merry Christmas”.Step 3.Key concepts:bring give open toy1.Introduce: Role play to demonstrate the new vocabulary. Bring a wrapped “gift” to class with a little toy inside. Use gestures and actions to make the meaning clear as the teacher say phrases such as: This gift is for____. I am bringing ____the gift.b. Ask this student to put the toy in his or her pencil-case.The pencil-case now becomes the “gift”. Please bring ____the gift. Please give ____the gift.2.Student book:Play the audiotape as the Ss follow in their books. 3.Practice:Divide the class into the same small groups.Ask each group to make up a dialogue about opening gifts on Christmas morning.
