1分别呈现万圣节,中秋节,元旦,圣诞节,端午节和感恩节的图片,分别讨论各个节日的日期,特点以及庆祝方式并教授新单词。
2 同时呈现6张节日的照片,让学生说出节日的名称。
3 同时呈现有关6个节日的描述性语句,让学生用节日名称完成句子。
4 让学生看着6张图片讨论:Which is your favourite festival?

This is my story:
These days I was angry with my cousin because he didn’t help me with my homework. So I want to play a trick on him. On the evening of December 31st, I wore a special costume with a tiger mask and two sharp teeth. After I dressed up carefully, I went to his house with my own-making pumpkin lantern. I knock on the door loudly. As soon as he opened the door, I shout: “ Give me one hundred yuan as a treat, or I’ll cut out your eyes.” He heard my voice and laughed : “Ok. Come to my home tomorrow. I’ll have a special party for you! At the party , you’ll get what you want.”

“ Trick or treat ”
The history of “ trick or treat ” can be traced back(追溯) to the early celebrations of All Soul’s Day(万圣节)in England. The poor would go begging(乞讨) and the housewives would give them special treats called “ soul (灵魂)cakes ” . This was called “ going a-souling”., and the “soulers” would promise(允诺)to say a prayer(祷告) for the dead. The more soul cakes the beggars would get, the more prayers they would promise to say.
Over time the custom(风俗)changed and the town’s children became the beggars. As they went from house to house they would get apples, nuts, and the money. The housewives would give the children candies to stop the children from tricking them. The children would shout “Trick or Treat!”.

教具准备:事先做好一些学习卡片,一面写有生词,另一面绘有相关的简笔画
教学准备:请学生准备一张较大的卡片, 一张白纸,一把剪刀及钢笔、彩笔等物品
四.教学步骤
1.教师事先准备好一些学习卡片。一面上画有月饼,姚明,大海,北京。对学生说:Today let’s play a guessing game. I will show you some cards. There are some pictures on them. Can you guess what each picture means? Try to use English to talk about it. All the sentences begin with “I like…”四句话为:I like to eat mooncake. I like Yaoming very much. I like the sea very much .I like Beijing.(写在相应图片的反面)

2.从而导入本课学习的内容:学习卡片。教师说:These are flash cards (学习卡片).Do you think these can help you remember and understand English words? 学生说:Yes.教师说:It is a good way to learn English. If you have the cards and study them for 10 minutes every day, you’ll learn English better. Do you want to learn how to make them? 学生说:Yes.
3.教师说:Now open your book, turn to page52.Look at these four pictures, before making them, first tell me what we need to make them.学生可以用中文回答。(color paper, color pens, pens, scissors)教师继续说:Now let’s learn four steps to make them.
Step 1: Cut out pieces of card. These are your flash cards.(切出纸片)
Step 2: Write a sentence, a question or an expression on each flash card.(在卡片上写出句子,问题或是一个表示式)
Step 3: Draw a picture about the sentence, the question or the expression on the other side of the flash card.(在卡片的另一面)
Step 4: Look at the picture for 10 minutes and try to remember the sentence, the question or the expression on the other side of the card.(尽力去…)

4.读书上的四个步骤,完成一个“True or False”的练习,加深对每个步骤的理解
根据教师提供的Key words 对四个步骤进行复述。不要求与书上的一模一样,只要将主要内容说出就可以。

5.教师说:Now it is time to make your own flash cards. I give you three subjects---Halloween, school life , sports. You can choose one of them or choose one by yourself to make a group of flash cards.You should at least make four flash cards about one subject .Now begin. 这时,学生开始动手制作真正的学习卡片,根据自己选择的主题,将相关的词,短语或句子写在卡片的一面,另一面则用简笔画来表现文字内容。鼓励他们最好采用每个单元的语言内容。
6.教师说:Now it is time to show your cards. Let’s play a game.将班级分成四组,由学生拿着自制的学习卡片对同学进行记忆测试,教师及时对其进行评价。记得最多卡片的小组为优胜,可适当给予奖励。教师继续说:Now let’s share more students’ flash cards.Eight students is a group. 1. 教师通过6副节日图片的展示,问what festival is it? 然后问Which is your favourite festival?导入到本课的Halloween。接着通过对万圣节的复习,在与学生的对话交流中呈现新的语言项目。具体问题为:

(2)Who celebrate it? (People in the west)
学习单词west,可用手势比划方位来表示。Is the USA in the west of the world? (Yes).

Who celebrate it?...What do people do to celebrate it ? How do people celebrate ?...之后,为学生提供一个有关春节的提纲。让他们可根据提纲制作一个有关春节的海报。或者自己拟定另一个节日名称,将写作提纲设计在草稿纸上。模仿第54页Part B范文,尝试写出自己的poster。教师巡视课堂,及时纠正错误或给予提示。
5. 教师说:Now it is time to show your poster.Let’s play a game to show it.学生做完后不写名字和相关节日在草稿上,组织学生四人一组交流,把四份草稿混在一起发给组 内不同的学生,每位学生在小组宣读。读完后猜一猜它的作者和写的节日,同时分 享他人写作的佳句。此活动可以让学生分享他人的写作思想,体验合作学习的快乐。
6. 两人一组互相交流poster , 在教师的指导下检查所写语句,纠正错误并进行比较。找四、五个学生把他们的短文大声读给全班听。
