(1) Learning the following new words and pronunciation :

(2)To know the present continuous tense can be used for future use .
(3)To know what a river can be used for .

(1)Learn to get information about the travel through surfing the internet .
(2) Grasp some reading skills.(skinning ,scanning ,guessing the meaning of new words according to the contexts )

Activity1:Picture Showing and Guessing(3minutes)
Present photos of four rivers. First one is Nile, the world’s longest river. Second one is the Mississippi River. Third is China’s longest river, Changjiang river. The last one is the Mekong, the longest river in Southeast Asia.(show a map that the Mekong river flows through)
T: Just now we have practiced a lot and I think you have been tired , now let’s enjoy some photos.
T: The river in this picture is the longest river in the world and it is located in the Egypt .Can you make a guess
T: Yes , the Nile .What about the second one ,who knows It is the longest and the first river in the USA .
T: Excellent ,you are quite good at the geography. This river is the longest river in China, I think it is very easy .let’s say it together .

T: You are all smart .What about the last one It flows through six Southeast Asia countries, do you know what it is
T: Yes, The MeKong River .Now please see a map of it .Through the map we can see it flows through China, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Burma ,Vietnam.(Show a picture of The MeKong River) .

Ever since middle school They have dreamed about taking a great bike trip.
