Step1:Review.

2.Teach the students how to greet each other on the first day of the new term,like this:

Step2: Presentation.
1. Lead—in.
T :Boys and girls ,Today is the first day of our new term.I often come to school on foot,

2 . Teach the new words and phrases with pictures:
subway , ship , boat , train plane ,airplane
Wake up on foot , get up new term today , first
3. Ask the students to make a survey
How do you usually go to school
I usually go to school on foot / by bike….
How does Zhao Lin go to school
He usually goes to school on foot ,too.
4. Use the pictures and finish 2.
Step3: Consolidation.
1. Listen to 1 and 3a.,then read fllow it .
2. Work in pairs .Act them out .
Step4: Practice .
1. Listen to 4,then finish 4.
2. Check the answer.
3. Ask the students to make a survey: How do you ususlly go to school Then report to the class like this :In our class, fifteen students go to school by bike …
