Unit5 I am taller than Mocky
The first period
教学设计 用竞赛形式呈现旧单词，然后将其分类。师结合实物讲授规则形容词的比较级和最高级，生看词说出规律并进行练习。师再讲不规则词，后生练习。之后，师出示实物，生进行说话练习。师通过自己的信息表来讲授其它新单词。
教学目标 知识目标：1、能四会Words to learn 中的单词2、能初步了解形容词的比较级和最高级的含义；3、能掌握形容词的比较级和最高级的三种变化方式；4、能基本表述比较级和最高级的句子；能力目标：能掌握形容词的比较级和最高级的变化； 情感目标：知道英语国家中身高、体重单位的名称
教学重点 掌握形容词的比较级和最高级的变化
教学难点 形容词的比较级和最高级的正确变化
教学用具 磁带、录音机、卡片
板书设计 Unit 5 I am taller 1、（普通）形容词+er /est Short shorter shortest 2、（单元音+辅音）形容词+双写最后一个字母+er / est Big bigger biggest 3、（辅音+y）形容词: 变y为i +er /est Heavy heavier heaviest

T gives some letter groups. Ss order the letters to make some new adj. words. 2. When Ss speak the words, T writes the words according to different kind.3. T shows two pencils. One is long, the other is short. Then T shows the third pencil and says “the green pencil is shorter than the yellow pencil”. At last, T shows the fourth pencil and says “the white pencil is the shortest”. (write down the three words)4. T explains the grammar in Chinese.5. Ss find out the rule according to giving the examples.(short, long)6. T gives some adj. words and Ss practice to change the form.( tall, young, old, small) 7. T teaches irregular adj. words. After teaching, T gives some same words to practice in their notebooks. 8. T shows some articles. At first, T gives an example. Then Ss practice to say the sentences.9. T shows a chart of my basic information and Ss learn the new words “height, weight, centimeter, kilogram, measure, weigh, check”.10. T teaches other words.1. Do exercise page 52.2. Do exercise page56 by themselves.3. T shows the cards and Ss read together.4. Ss practice to state the pictures in pairs page 52.1. Copy the adj. words twice.2. Copy another words four times.3. Dictation next time. 以竞赛形式考察对旧单词的记忆并引出新知识为后面教学形容词分类作铺垫让学生整体感知比较级和最高级强化训练听、说、读、写综合练习，有利于对新知的掌握能让学生初步应用比较级和最高级用情景来叫新知识，有利于学生的理解
