Unit5 I am taller than Mocky
The fourth period
教学设计 前十分钟为复习时间，以Talk together为练习的载体，强化学生的功能句问答。后三十分钟为新授时间。学生看图回答问题，猜测书信内容，然后填写空白，学生一起读，之后，用回答问题的方式来检测学生的理解。带学生有了一定的基础之后，教师给学生三分钟左右时间小组准备自己的家庭，最后找一两名学生表述。
教学目标 知识目标：1、能正确了解书信内容；2、能正确填写出所缺词汇；3、能仿写一段家庭文章；4、通过处理来巩固本课功能句；
教学重点 培养学生仿写句子
教学用具 磁带,录音机

A student leads to read ‘Talk together” twice. Then Ss ask questions and other students answer.1. Review the adj. words of describing people.2. T introduces the picture and ask questions: Can you guess： 1) Who’s he / she 2) Who is taller / younger / shorter / older, A or B 3) Who is tallest / youngest / shortest / oldest 3. Ss fill in the blanks. Then Ss check together.4. Ss read the letter together.5. T ask some questions:1) How many sisters/ brothers has jenny 2) What’s her brother’s name 3) Where is Jim 4) Who is heavier, Jenny or older sister 5) Who is shortest/ tallest/ youngest 6. Ss prepare a passage about their family in pairs.7. Ss share their passage with classmates.1. Write a passage about your family.2. Recite “Talk together”. 强化功能句型的问与答练习既是复习又是为后面写作打基础考查学生对课文的理解
