Step 1 Warming up:

Good morning.

Ss ask each other.
Step 2 Presentation and drill
1. T shows picture of Mingming
T: Guess, who am I
S: Are you Mingming
T: Yes, I am.
2.T shows the picture of Mingming to a student S1.
T: Who’s he
Ss learn to say : He is Mingming.He is my brother.
S1: Hello. I'm Mingming.
Ss: Glad to meet you.
3. T shows the picture of the mother to a student S2.
T: Who’s she
Ss learn to say : She is my mother.
Teach the “father” in the same way.
4.Understand the words: he she brother mother father family me
Understand the sentence: Who’s he/she He/She is …

Learn Part B.
3. Listen to the tape (Part A, B), read after the tape.

1.Ss look at the picture in Part C and listen to the tape.
Ss read the words: sister
2.Look at the picture in Part D and listen to the tape.

Ss read the words: Jimmy Jenny and Part D in pairs.

Teacher shows the picture and word of a hen then write “e” on Bb, let Ss read.
Mark “e”, let the Ss find out the reading-rule of e in the word hen.
Write out other words in part E with “e”,
Let Ss try to read.
