Period One (section A 1a----2b)
Teaching aims:
1.复习掌握动词不定式作主语的用法.
2.掌握几个动词短语.
Language points:
1.词汇: help out , talk over , too……to , tell sb to do sth
2.句型: It’s important to talk problems over with someone .
Tell them not meet strangers.
She is too young to make her own decisions
Difficulties: too……to , tell sb (not) to do sth 的用法 .
Step 1 Presentation

结合图画教授短语,生动形象,便于学生接受.为下面1c的Pair work 做准备.
Step 2 Practice
Use eight pictures to practise this sentence. “I think it’s important for teenagers to ……” in groups
利用图片训练新句型及短语,巩固1a所学的内容,有助于锻炼学生的反应力和注意力.
Step 3 work on section B4
Discuss and complete the chart. Then add more things that are very important to all of them.
通过分组讨论让学生填表, 将课本 “Section B 4” 部分灵活用在这里.
Step 4 work on 2c
Listen,Match the students with their ideas in activity 1a.
通过上面输入的大量信息,减少听力难度,让学生做起来得心应手.
Step 5 work on 1c
Make conversations using the ideas in activity 1a.
继续巩固1a所学的内容.
Step 6 Presentation
Using some pictures to teach these phrases: too……to, tell sb (not) to do sth.
创设情景教授新知识,降低难度。便于学生理解掌握,为下面的听力做好铺垫.
Step 7 work on 2a, 2b
Ask the Ss to listen to the tape, choose the correct answers and complete the sentences .Then read after the tape.
既提高了学生听的能力,又提高了学生口语表达能力.

Talk about the students’ own problems with their partners .Give advice to each other.

Period Two (section A 3a, 3b)
Teaching aims:
1.掌握3a课文中的重要短语和句子.
2.正确理解课文内容,并能用自己的话复述课文.
Language points:
词汇: get through ; with the help of … ; Typical; would rather …than; ask sb to do sth ;
句型: His parents always tell him to try harder.
She hangs out with him a little too much.
She would rather drink coffee and cola than water.
Step 1 Presentation
Ask the Ss to read the article quickly and do “ T “ or “ F “
对课文进行整体感知, 初步理解课文内容.
Step 2 Practice
Read the article more carefully and answer five questions about the articles. Then use five questions to teach these new words“get through ,typical ,trust ”
遵循词不离句的原则教授生词, 便于学生理解掌握.
Step 3 Practice
Read the article again then fill in the blanks.
对课文进一步分析理解 .
Step 4 Practice
Use the pictures and the charts to explain the text. Then ask the Ss to retell the article in their own words with the help of the teacher.

Period Three (section 1a—2c)
Teaching aims:
1.掌握need 的用法.
2.复习掌握形容词,副词比较级及最高级的用法.
Language points:
词汇: the +比较级, the +最高级, give up,
句型:
1. I need to exercise more regularly.
2. The more you exercise, the healthier you’ll become.
Difficulties:
Need 作为情态动词与实义动词的用法.
Step 1 Presentation

Then explain the use of “need”
先让学生分组讨论,然后教师精讲点播,让学生自己动手动脑得出结论,培养他们动手动脑的习惯.
Step 2 work on 1a
Look at the sentences on the slide. Number them in the order that the sentences are important to the Ss.
强化训练need 作为实义动词用法.
Step 3 work on 1b
Discuss the answers in activity 1a in groups. Give each other advice on how to improve.
分组练习,开拓学生的思路,强化口语表达能力.
Step4 work on 2a, 2b
Listen to the tape and finish the exercises in 2a and 2b.
Period Four (section 3a, 3b, 3c, secfcheck)
Teaching aims:
1.学会用英语表达健康生活方式.
2.巩固本单元所学单词及句型.
Language points:
词汇: oil ,meet up with, share,
句型:
1.Try not to eat too much salt or oil.
2.Don’t meet up with strangers.
3.Share problems with your friends.
Step 1 work on 3a
Ask the ss to read the leaflet about healthy living. Check the things that they do. Then discuss the difficult phases and sentences in groups.
让学生自己动脑动手解决课文中的难句子,锻炼其分析问题解决问题的能力。
Step 2 Work on 3c
Get to ss to fill in the chart in teams.
Step 3 Work on 4
Look at the pictures on the slide .Talk about ways to help the ss improve the students’ lives.
Step 4 Work on self check
Fill in each blank with the correct word again. Then read the letter from a friend and write a reply for Li Ling. At last, do some exercises of this unit.
