四、Teaching procedure
(一) Revision
1. Leading-in
(1) Sing a song : Skip to my lou
(2) Chant the Rhyme
(3) Free talk
Talk with children about their summer holiday routines with the old structures above.
2. Pre-task
Get children to talk about their and their fathers’ summer holiday routines each other with the old structures.
3. While-task
Do Exercise 2 on P5
4. Post-task
Check the answers
Ask children to pay attention to the form of V-s both in oral and writing
(二) Presentation
1. Pre-task
Give children an life example to help them to understand the meaning of new structures and the adverbs of frequency.
2. While-task
(1) Do Exercise 1
Get children to guess the order of adverbs of frequency and then tell them the correct one.
(2) Play the game of Fun With Language
How often does the boy play the computer game He often plays the computer game.
3. Post-task
Show their games
(三) Consolidation
1. Pre-task
(1) Show the pictures to teach the new words and practise them with actions
(2) Play a word game
T say out a syllable, and then children read the word out
(3) Play another game—Clap the Pictures Quickly
2. While-task
Practise the new structures with the new words and phrases
T model first then children do it themselves and get children to pay attention to the form of V-s
3. Post-task
Show their dialogues

1. Do the Activity Book of Unit 1
2. Listen to and read the new words and the new dialogue for 20 minutes
