教学难点分析
1． 本课时词汇多，句型长，但课文内容容易理解，与我们的实际生活相距甚远,加入文化常识的学习，加强情景的创设，要借助电影片段或课件给学生直观的认识。
2． 词汇Christmas / festival/ popular容易出现发音问题，会给中下生带来困难，应该加强单词的再现率。
3． 句型 Is Christmas the most important festival in Britain / And it’s the most popular festival in western countries. / We have lots of parties and no school, and father Christmas brings presents to all the children.较难上口，通过多次的机械性操练及读的游戏，帮助学生上口。
Teaching Procedures 教学过程 Teaching activity & Steps of the activity （明确教学的每一个活动的设计，写清楚活动的具体造作步骤。） Learning strategies （每一个教学活动，所有学生或部分学生的主要学习行为/任务的具体描述。） Purpose设计意图（从为达成目标、解决难点或形成技能等方面做具体的描述。）
1.Warm-up Sing along 听唱歌曲，知道主题 以学生最耳熟能详的歌曲导入，直抵主题。
2.Presentation and Practice a)Free talk: GreetingHow are you What present do you like best b)ask the pupils what they know about Christmas c)观看动画片，根据动画片提问，T: Do you know what festival P: Yes, I know it’s Christmas. T: Christmas is coming.T: Right, is Christmas the most important festival in Britain P: Yes.引出新单词.Festival/Christmas/Father Christmas/ stocking，板书句子Is Christmas the most important festival in Britain 老师接着说并板书：Yes,and it’s the most popular festival in weatern countries.学习单词popular/western进行听读操练句子（慢读—中速读快读—比赛快读—句子接龙） a) 学生Free talkb)回答问题或谈论对圣诞节已有的认识c) 在观看动画片的过程中学习单词和句子。 a) 这是Warm-up的延伸也是课文首段的呈现与旧知识的复习。b)训练表述能力，唤起对圣诞节的回忆。c)以生动多彩的画面吸引学生和呈现，并有直观的环境下学习新知，用不同的形式操练句子。
3.Consolidation a)整体看听—分角色去听—根据短文内容判断句子是否相符T/F（教参P62）--由学生教读记单词—由学生教读课文句子—跟老师读句子—齐读--分角色去读—在小组中自由地读。 学生借助课件去整体感知和理解课文，学习新单词句子和课文。 学生整体感知课文，训练听力，并由学生教授单词和句子，创造一个平台充分发挥优生的优势，读背单词时由优生到中下生这样的一个过渡，以达到优生四会，中下生三会的单词教学目标；通过多种形式的朗读，以达到课文上口的教学目标。
4.Summary 提问学生今天所学习的新知识。 学生总结今天学习的内容。 对本课时学习的知识进行总结、回顾。
