V. Teaching procedure:
Period one
(Conversation, Vocabulary, Song)
1. Conversation—Listen and look.
1) Bring in some food that are inexpensive and easy to share.
T: I like cookies. (Eat a snake.)
Do you like cookies, S1 (Offer a snack to S1)
S1(nods and says after the teacher): I like cookies.
T: Do you know what Tony, Jenny and Gogo like
2) Let’s listen to the tape, then try to answer the question.
What do Tony, Jenny and Gogo like
3) Play the tape again, have Ss repeat the dialog and check the answers.
Tony likes juice.
Jenny likes cake.
Gogo likes cheese, cake, ice cream and noodles.
2. Teach the new words with realia: juice, cake, cheese, ice cream.

3. Song—Listen and sing.

2. Homework: Sing the song –What do you like for your family.
Period two
(Target, Practices 1 and 2, Activity 1)
1. Sing the song: What do you like
2.Target-- Listen and say.
1) T: I like salad. (Points to S1) What do you like
S1: I like ice cream.
2) Continue asking other Ss the same questions.
3) Listen the target and answer the questions:
What does Tony / Jenny like
4) Have Ss look at the books and listen to the target again to check the answers.
G: What do you like, Tony
T: I like cheese. What do you like, Jenny
J: I like cake. Yum!
5) Ask and answer questions in pairs: What do you like
3. Practice 1. Listen and number.
1) Go over each picture.
2) Play the tape and have Ss write down the right numbers.
3) Listen to the tape again and have Ss repeat each sentences to check the answers.
4. Practice 2 Your turn! Listen, circle and answer.
1) Go over the pictures on the page and have Ss repeat.
2) Ss ask and answer questions in pairs, then the items they like.
S1: What do you like
S2: I like …
5. Activity 1. Ask an mark (√Χ).
1) Point to each picture and say:
I like…. ( √ ) I don’t like…. ( Χ )
2) Ss interview each other in groups of four.
3) Each student states all the things they like and don’t like.
Period three
(Activity 2, Alphabet, Exercises in Workbook and writing book)
1. Free talk.
2. Activity 2 – Play and say.
1) Encourage Ss to make statements about the picture to review all the food words on the page..

2) Ss take turns being blindfolded. The blindfolded student randomly touches a space on the board.
3) He / She takes off the blindfold and makes a sentence using the word.
3. Alphabet.
1) Listen, point and say. (Give Ss some more words.)
Yy yo-yo, yogurt (you your yellow)
Zz zebra, zoo (zero)
2) Listen and chant.
Have Ss look at the lyrics of the chant. Then play the tape and have the Ss chant.

3. Finish the exercises in Workbook and writing book.
