The Teaching Content
The content of the unit is about the dialouge:
“What time does school start ”
The new words of the unit.
a present simple tense for the Ss to practice the pattern: What time do(does) +The subject + verb phrase And the corresponding answers.
The important point and difficult point
(1) To help Ss ask and answer the question: What time do (does) +The subject + verb phrase and make sure that Ss can use the sentences in real situations.
(2) To enable Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully.
The Analysis of the students
a. The students in Grade 5 have learnt many words ,So I can bring out some words by some real objects.
b. The students are very young in the early days of English learning. So the interest is the most important thing for the students. I think the topic about school will make them excited .
Teaching methods
“Task-based” teaching method.
Audio-visual teaching method.
Reason: This method is more direct and effective for the pupils to understand. I ask students to talk, play and act, and a recorder, CAI and a printed form will be needed
Aims on the knowledge
(1) To help Ss to grasp the new words: exercise, playground, before, skip, coffee, tea, bell, rang
(2) To enable the Ss to understand and speak: “What time does school start What time do you get up ” Make sure that Ss can use the sentences in real situations .
Aims on the abilities
(1) To develop Ss’ abilities of listening and speaking.
(2) To raise Ss’ abilities of describing the school life
Aims on the emotion
(1)To raise Ss’ consciousness of good co-operation.
(2) To lead Ss to show their loveliness to the school.

5.Ask students do the exercises of SB Unit 1 activity 3 with the help of the CAI.
Purpose: To present the key structures one by one is much easier for the Ss to learn and grasp the meanings. Proper competition can arouse the Ss’ interest in English learning. CAI can provide a real situation for the Ss to understand the dialogue and the relationships between people better. Tell the Ss we should show our loveliness to the Ss.

1. Talk about their ideal school life by them.

Purpose: Revision is so important that Ss should speak English as much as they as in class or after class. It is necessary for the Ss to do some extensive exercises after class to consolidate the knowledge they learned .
Teaching Assessment
1.We all have school life, so it is easy to understand the text for the students.
2.I use real objects’ pictures and. It’s direct for the students to understand.
3.I bring some primary school pictures of different countries’ for the students in order to let the students love the school .
The reflection ways
The lesson is very close to the students’ life,so students are glad to talk about their school life.
For students, they have learnt “the present simple tense”,so they can talk fluently.
