Unit 11 your homework is good
Teaching Aims:
The students are required to
1. master the new words of this unit;
2. be able to use the new sentence models fluently in daily life;
3. be able to sing the English song.
Teaching Importances:
It’s very important for the students to learn the new words and the new sentences models well.
Teaching Difficulties:
It’s difficult for students to speak English well.
Teaching Aids:
Courseware, word cards.
Teaching steps:
Ⅰ Warm-up
T: see you again. Glad to see me
Ss; yes.
T: me, too. Is there anything interesting recently
S1: yes, my mother 买了一件pretty T-shirt to me yesterday. Hahh. I am so glad. See I am wearing it. Is it good
T: wow, you look so nice. Anyone else
S2: I go to the zoo.
……
T: ok. That’s nice. Now let’s move on to our new class.
Ⅱ Presentation and Drill
T: each day, I leave some homework for you. do you always finish it on time
Ss: yes.
T: ok. That’s great. Then do you know how to say homework in English
Ss: no.
T: it’s homework. Tom, can I have a look at your homework.
Tom: ok.
T: en, it’s not bad. Lingling, can I see your homework
Lingling: ok.
T: wow, your homework is good. Now, your homework is all finished. How to say finish It’s a verb.
Ss: I don’t know.
T: it’s finish. F-I-N-I-S-H. lingling’s homework is good. Good means nice and pretty. Tom’s homework is not bad. Bad means not good, ugly. Not bad means it’s ok, not that bad. Have you got these two words. (at the same time, show the word on the screen)
Ss: yes. Good and bad.
T: good. Now, how do you finish your homework. Of course, you write it with your pen. Now let’s learn the word “write”,W-R-I-T-E. write means the movement of your pen on the paper.
T: homework is always difficult( show the word difficult) on the screen. But it can be easy( also show the word on the screen) for some students. When you can’t finish your homework by yourself, what can you do
Ss: ask for somebody’s help.
T: yes, that’s right. How can you express your need You should say “ can you help me ”(show the sentence on the screen). When you answer this sentence, you should say “yes, I can/ no, I can’t”.
