Students should be teached to remember these new words and sentences. Besides, they should make full use of them in daily life.

The teacher should prepare the courseware of this unit, some cards, etc.
Teaching Procedure:
Step I Warming-up
T: Who can tell me, what’s the weather like today
S: Today is …
T: Oh! Today is a fine day, let’s sing and dance, Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. Ok
Ss sing and dance.
T: You’re wonderful!
Step II Task
T: There will be a sports meeting in our school. Do you want to join it But I don’t know what can you do. At first, let’s learn the sports. Ok?
Ss:that’s ok!
Step III Lesson Presentation
Get Ss to learn the new words:fly, jump, run, throw, swim.

Step IV Review
T says: Fly!
T: Who can repeat and do?
S1: Fly!
T: Good! (write the word “fly” on Bb)
Ss read it together.
T shows the word card.
Practice

S2: Jump!
T: Wonderful!
Practice four by four.

Show the card.
Practice row by row.

Read it with the CAI.
Show the card and practice .

Show the card and practice group by group.
Step Game: High and low voice.
T: Now, look at me !
(T does and says with low voice. Ss say with high voice)
Ask a student to the front to be a temporary teacher.
Step V Sentence Learning
Teach the sentence: I can …
T: Who can fly
S: I can fly!
T(point to the CAI): What’s this
S: It’s a bird.
T: Yes! The bird can fly.
Write the sentence on Bb: I can …
(CAI) Rabbit: I can jump!
Kangaroo: I can jump!
Frog: I can jump!
T: Can you repeat
S: I can jump!
T: Read it together!
Teach I can swim/run/throw in the same way.
Step VI Chant
Run, run, I can run!
Jump, jump, I can jump!
Fly, fly, I can fly!
Throw, throw, I can throw!
Swim, swim, I can swim.
Step VII Sing a song: Walking, walking!
Step VIII Teach the words: high, fast, far
1、 Play video 1 and video 2.
Pause at “high”.
T: High. Do you know what’s its meaning
2、Teach the words: high, fast.
I can jump high. I can fly high
I can swim fast. I can run fast.
3、T throws a ball: Look! I can throw far!
Teach the word far.
Step IX Practice
T: you guys are so wonderful! Look! Who are they
Play the video of our classmates.
Cheng Xing: Hello, everyone! I can jump high!
T: Tell me , what can Cheng Xing do
S: Cheng Xing can jump hig!
T: Then, What can you do
S: I can jump high/ run fast/swim fast/throw far.
Step X Listen and answer!
T: Here are Lingling, Anne, Dongdong…. Listen carefully, and tell me, what can they do
