1. Greetings between the teacher and the students.
2. Sing the song of I can sing a rainbow.
3. Sing another song who is wearing yellow today.
Presentation
1. Show colour pens of red, white, orange, blue and grey.
T: Look! I borrowed five color pens from you.
They are beautiful, OK! I will return them to you now.
( Take a red pen) Whose color pen is this
Look! It is red, is it your color pen, Peter
Peter: Yes, it is. My pen is red.
Thank you very much.
T: What color is your pen, boys and girls.
2. Show them the flag of China.
T: Look at the flag. What colors can you see in our national flag
S1: Red.
S2: Yellow.
T: Good! There are two colors, most of it is red and the stars are yellow.
So how can we describe the flag
S3: It’s red and yellow.
3. Show them the picture of Part A.
T: What are they doing

1. Listen to the tape of Part B, and then imitate after the tape.
2. Describe your clothes. Such as: My coat is red and blue.

1. Greetings between the teacher and the studens.
2. Free talk among the students.
A: Is this your plate
B: No, it isn’t. My plate is red and white.
Presentation
1. Show the word card: dark blue bag.
T: What color is the bag
Ss: It’s blue.
T: almost right. What color is the sea
Ss: It’s blue, too.
T: But the color of the tow things is different, right
Ss: Yes.
T: So we can say the bag is dark blue.
2. The same to the other words:
Light purple pencil-box, grey scarf, orange shoes, violet flowers, white sports shoes, red sandals.
3. Listen to the tape of Part B, read after the tape.
4. T: It’s winter, it is snow outside. I am very cold.
( Take out a scarf)
Wow, I feel warm now. It seems in the spring.
The teacher write the two words: cold- winter
Warm- spring
5. Listen to the tape of Part D, look at the text, understand the text, let the students read after it.
Consolidation
1. Play a game. Ask and answer.
T: What color is it
S: It’s red.
2. Play another game. Quick response.
The teacher show the word cards quickly. And let the students read the word quickly.
