教材分析 1、 本课所处位置：六年级上册13单元第一课时。2、 课前的学习内容与本节内容的内在联系：课前，学生已学习了用形容词描述事物特征，这节课是在以前所学的内容的基础上加以巩固和进一步学习新的知识，即用用形容词原级比较描述人（事）物的特征、状态、形态等。3、 教材要求与学生现有水平的比较：教材要求学生能听懂会说“carry, clever, understand, difficult friendly ,happy as a bird”等，并能在实际情景中运用。根据学生所掌握的知识来看，学生完全有能力接受和学习这课时的教学内容，也符合学生的认知特点。4、 本节教学内容与设计对今后教学的影响: 通过学习本节课内容，学生能 感知并理解形容词原级比较形式“as……as”的用法，为学习该册书后面的知识打好基础；能培养学生主动、大胆说英语的习惯和能力。

教学策略 1、 本节课采用的教学方法和理由:复习旧单词通过吟唱自编的Let’s chant和say and do来巩固词组，可以激发学生的积极性，达到热身的效果。学习新对话时通过呈现CAI引出整个情景，然后让学生教学生来进行。练习对话采取小组活动形式,让学生在实际情景中综合运用句型，从而达到培养学生自主、探究和合作的能力。2、 采用的辅助手段或媒体：采用CAI软件能让课堂设计更加直观和灵活；使用录音机让学生能听到和模仿到地道的读音和语调。3、 课前需要准备的材料：Part B的图片。
