Step1导入
1).播放一首英文歌曲Whose puppy is it?激发学生学习的兴趣,并引入新单词 whose.利用图片教授truck, belong to, picnic, rabbit, 然后让学生闭上眼睛,我拿一位同学的橡皮,问:Whose is it?学生回答:I don’t know.随即引出本单元主要内容,如何用情态动词表推测。
2).利用微课教授本节课的重点语法:must,might,could,can’t,belong to,然后再利用课件来做更多的练习。
3) 游戏
通过3个游戏,练习用情态动词表推测。第一个是现在热播剧《奔跑吧,兄弟》上的人物,范冰冰和李晨。第二个游戏是3组以前心理学上学到的有关颜色的选择性图片。第三个通过猜测这是谁的小狗,来引入be sb’s 和belong to 的区别。然后出示我家人照片和一些事物继续练习情态动词表推测,目的是联系实际生活。教师归纳总结对某事判断的肯定程度,并板书:

can’t:0%
环节说明:通过课前的一个师生问答互动游戏,调动了学生的课堂气氛,同时随着游戏的深入,使学生对表示推测的情态动词用法有了基本认识。
Step 2 完成教材1a-1c的任务
【操作案例】
1. 要求学生翻开课本P57,迅速浏览所给的图片,然后把图片中所给的物品填入到所给的栏目中。(1分钟)
2. 检查答案,先要求全班一起给出答案并检查讨论。
然后要求2-3名同学就图片中所给的物品问答“Whose volley is this?”句型,给出各自的答案,并把收集的答案列举在黑板上。(3分钟)

3. 要求学生听第一遍录音,并完成课本上1b的听力任务。(1分钟)

5. 完成教材1c的任务,要求学生根据上面所给的图片,使用1b表格中的信息编写对话进行练习,然后要求2-3位学生上台表演。(3分钟)
环节说明:通过学习1a,使学生能够正确的判断物品所属;通过1b,锻炼学生的听力及抓取关键信息的能力;通过1c的训练锻炼学生的口头表达能力,同时巩固了对情态动词must表推测的认识。
Step 3 完成教材2a-2d的任务
【操作案例】
1. 要求学生翻开课本P58。播放录音一遍,完成2a,2b的听力任务。(1分钟)

2. 要求学生听第二遍录音,并逐句进行跟读。(2分钟)
3. 听力内容巩固训练。要求学生根据所听到的内容完成下列各句。完成后要求若干学生给出自己的答案。以巩固对听力内容的了解。(4分钟)
1) It could be Mei’s hair band. Mei’s has long hair.
2) The hair band might belong to Linda. She was at the picnic.
3) The backpack could belong to Rita. She’s always forgetting things.
4) The backpack must belong to Linda. She has long hair and she’s on the tennis team.
4. 大声朗读听力材料。(1分钟)
5. 放下听力材料,要求学生模仿听力内容,利用2a,2b的信息分角色练习对话练习。然后邀请2-3对同学当堂演示。看哪一对的表现最佳。(5分钟)
6. 播放2d的对话录音,让学生跟读,模仿并理解大意。然后让学生分角色朗读并表演2d的对话。(5分钟)
环节说明:将听、说、读、写的任务结合起来不仅锻炼了学生的语言综合运用能力,还巩固了学生对目标语言的学习、识记和运用。
Step4课堂小结
1)情态动词must, might, could, can’t 表示推测的含义与用法。情态动词must, might, could, can’t 后面都接动词原形,都可以表示对现在情况的揣测或推断,但他们的含义有所不同:
must 一定,肯定  (100%的可能性)
might, could   有可能,也许 (20%~80%的可能性)
can’t 不可能,不会  (可能性几乎为零)
2)belong to someone 和 be someone’s
belong to someone 和 be someone’s 含义基本相同,都表示“属于某人,归某人所有”,但要注意用法上的区别。
belong to + 名词或宾格代词。
be someone’s意思是be + 名词所有格或名词性物主代词
The English book must belong to Tom.
The English must be Tom’s ( English book).

一、教材分析
本单元以“A picnic”为话题设计教学内容。以“It must belong to Carla”为主线围绕谈论某东西属于某人等语言功能展开一系列的任务活动。本节课主要是属于教学内容的第一部分,要求学会如何进行推测,了解、学会基本句型的应用。教材内容从基本语言知识到语言综合知识的运用,层层递进,以一种循序渐进的生活化的学习程序,引导学生在做事中有目的的学习语言。
二、三维目标:
1、 知识目标:本单元通过学习情态动词,学会正确运用must, might, could和can’t对事物进行推测,并注意体会这些词表示判断时的程度,尽量做到用词准确.掌握belong to与be在使用中的区别。
2、能力目标:对本单元中的生词做到会读,会写,会用,培养学生听说读写的能力和观察事物的能力。
3、情感目标:培养学生关心他人的情感。
