A Country Music Song Changed Her Life Forever.
一、教学方法 :
Listening, imitating, speaking, pair work, group work.
Use mind-map to know the framework of an article and understand the article better. 二、教材处理:
1.充分利用mind map来梳理大意,理解文本,培养阅读和写作技巧。2.在整个教学过程中大致步骤为:设置语境-内容理解-技巧训练-将“享受音乐,热爱生活”这一主线贯穿整个学习过程始终,使学生潜移默化的理解Music is the home of soul.
三、教学过程设计:
Step1. Show the learning aims

Do you like music?
How many kinds of music do you know?
(导入音乐种类,展示音乐树)
Step 3: Pre-reading
1)We know kinds of music,but do you know “country music”?
2)let’s enjoy a song called“Take me home, country road”---
让学生体会country music
(Stress the word “home”—the key word and main line of this class,music is the home of our soul and love music,enjoy the life)强调home这个主题,也是贯穿本节课的一个中心线,音乐是心灵的家园,享受音乐,热爱生活
3) Know about the singer John Denver and learn the new words:
通过介绍这首乐曲了解乐手John,也是学习生词的过程,同时我的音乐故事展开,配以图片和几个简单句子学习新单词

I am a fan of ….’s music.He lived in the southern part of America. I hope to live with his music around me forever. Ever since I was born ,I have collected millions of reacords from all countries. The music is about the modern life and success. Music belongs to the people who love life. They pass the love to one another .Our world is full of laughter and beauty .I hope to go abroad to get a chance to listen to the concert of foreign band.
Step4:While-reading
1. (两幅图片,一张我自己的,一张sara的,目的是我讲完了自己的音乐故事,今天我们来看看Sara的故事)
Before reading, show the strategy:
Learn to draw the mind-map to grasp the framework of the text and understand it better.
2.Show the form of mind-map and how to use it
(展示思维导图,理解文本)
3. Scanning(扫读查信息) Read quickly to find the main idea and match up.
4.Fast reading:
Use the skill of mind -map and find the main information.
5.通过用思维导图引领的方式, Finish the “Country Music Fact Sheet” (乡村音乐简报)
6.Careful reading:细读
1)Show the questions and ask the students to talk about the main idea of each paragraph according to the information from the mind-map.
Para 1.2.3

Find the key word –wh word.
---Analyse each para clearly and carefully.
(use kinds of ways to analyse the parts deeply)
第一段和第二段处理时可以用思维导图和总结段落大意两种方式,同时小组合作Groupwork,三人分工明确,根据文章线索,一人记录, 两人找问题答案, 一人监督指正运用mind map,最后完成思维导图制作。
2)Show time----此部分是学生展示自己的思维导图,说出关键词,也就是wh词,
描述故事情节。
3)第二段处理时可以加入一个游戏环节,将乡村音乐和现代音乐的典型特征归类。
4)Summary:用一个活生生的小狗形象mind map来总结 country music(让学生根据导图内容复述文章大意,一方面可以检测学生对脑图的理解,另一方面也进一步帮助学生梳理文章脉络。)
5)第三段处理用一个问题来归纳就可以。
同时利用Game:(砸金蛋游戏判断正误),在阅读中提升学生的兴趣

在这一环节,选择一篇与文本类似的文章,让学生利用脑图mind map梳理文章大意,同时模仿写作,检测学生对本节课教学目标的达成度。)
Step 6:评价(互评和自评)
发音,使用正确词汇表达,学生会画思维导图这三个维度去评价
Step 7 :情感升华(欣赏经典音乐:the sound of silence)
本节课围绕音乐话题展开学习,首尾呼应,以take me home country music开始学习,以 Music is the home of the soul.结束本节课,主旨定格为:音乐是心灵的家园,热爱音乐,享受生活。

设计意图:
本节课以美国乡村音乐为话题,让学生不仅了解一些美国乡村音乐方面的 知识,而且可以了解一些当时的风土人情、社会背景,也可以陶冶情操,感受不同的文化气息。兴趣是最好的老师。根据本班学生的学习方式和学习习惯来设计我的教案,设计每个步骤时都思考着怎样才能引起他们的兴趣。这节课的设计比较多样,既有多媒体图片,又有比赛游戏的形式,还有小组讨论,表演复述课文,教学较有层次,希望能长时间地激发学生的兴趣;另外,在题型的设计也想尽量引起他们参与活动的欲望。
本节重点是教授给孩子们使用mind map来更好的理解文本,相信这种方式可以调动学生的积极性和参与度。
