Step 1 Lead-in
Speaking practice (P59)
Express the real meaning of a “friend” by showing some English sayings
Step 2 Topic one (Friends)
1. Talk about what should be covered when introducing our friends
Appearance ; good-looking, handsome, pretty, slim, thin, have poor eyesight, a square face, a round face, look smart, smiling eyes, wear a smile on the face, shoulder-length hair…
Personality: honest, have a good sense of humour, be willing to …be ready to…keep a secret, say a bad word about…
Abilities: smart clever hard-working musical
Future plan: travel around the world, scientist, …)
Showing our monitor’s photo, discuss with the whole class and introduce him, using the key words and phrases we mentioned just now.
Students organize their oral composition
Step 3 Topic two (School life)
Ask the students some questions about our school life

If we don’t like it, what’s our ideal school?
The teacher tells the students her own ideal school to give them a sample.

(二)教学反思
1、教学思路
本课是8AUnit是-2的复习课。第一单元的话题是Friends。第二单元的话题是School Life,这两个话题是紧密相连、相互渗透的,所以把这两个话题放在一起复习更有利于学生的理解和运用。在复习第一个话题Friends时,我把口语训练话题简述中的My Best Friend, Millie放在第一个教学环节,既训练 口语,又作为复习课的导入。然后复习构成本话题的几个要素:appearance, personalities, abilities, hobbies and future plans。为了激活学生的记忆并为后面的话题口头作文作铺垫,所以就以头脑风暴的形式让学生快速回忆每个要素所涉及的单词、短语。并运用刚才复习的词汇、短语描述大家最熟悉和喜爱的一位同学,以达到激发学生的兴趣并灵活运用所学知识的目的。口头作文后,在第二个话题My School Life的处理中,由于时间关系和避免同一方法的重复使用,就直接展示本话题中所涉及的重点短语,并让学生记忆,为后面的写作作准备。然后以讨论Our School Life的现状的形式,口头运用刚才复习的要点,并自然过渡到写作话题My Ideal School Life。在写作前我以口头介绍My Ideal School Life的形式给学生一些示范,以降低写作困难生的写作难度。
2、存在的问题
1、从学生的课堂反馈及写作作品中可知,大多数学生达到了本课的教学目标,但由于投影仪出现了问题,没能当堂评讲学生的作文,对写作中出现的一些问题没能及时处理。一些好的习作及教师的范文也未能展示给全班学生,未能达到共同学习,共同提高的目的。
2、由于担心写作时间不够,在第二个话题的重点词组处理上有些简单,感觉过渡不够自然,目的不够明确。
教海无涯, 在今后的教学中,还需不断学习理论知识,拓宽思路,虚心向专家同行请教,经常学习研究示范课,从中汲取营养,以适应教育的不断发展和学生新的需求,踏踏实实得上好每一节课,争取更好的教学效果。
