(一)教学设计
一、Teaching Aims:
1 To learn the new words & phrases& new drills.

What are you going to be in the future?
I’m going to be a computer engineer. Etc.
2 To develop their abilities of getting information from listening to the different jobs.
3 To improve their abilities of talking about different jobs, work places and future plans..
4. Encourage them to have a right attitude to different jobs and try to love any job they may have in the future.

三、Teaching procedures
Step 1 lead-in
1. Introduce myself to lead in the topic “jobs and places” and teach the phrases “ by car /bus/ bike/ train/on foot.
2. Create a situation “My penfriend Tom ‘s family members’ jobs”, Get students to guess what job it is by showing them some hints to revise the jobs and places.
Step 2 Presentation
1. More pictures to teach the new word: manager company postman post office etc.
2. Read the new words aloud. make sure they can read them correctly.
Step 3 Practice
1. Students finish PartA1.
2. Read the new word again.
Step 4 Listening.
1. Get the students to read through the table and listen to the the material carefully. Play the tape without stopping for the students to get the general idea by answering the two questions.
2. Listen again for the students to complete the table in PartA2. Play again if necessary. Check the answers by asking “What does Wendy’s dad/mum/elder brother/elder sister do? Where does he/she do?”.
3. Tell the students : “ Millie is making notes about Wendy’s family. Can you help her?” Play the tape, students complete the notes in PartA3.
4. Check the answers together.
Step 5 Practice
Show the table in Part A2 again to help the students do a report about Wendy’s
family member’s jobs. First do as an example, then they work in pairs to do the report.
Step 6 Presentation
1. Present the word “artist” ”sound” “in the future” by saying “We know Wendy’s family member’s jobs and places now. What do you think Wendy is going to be in the future? Can you guess?”
2. Ask “what are you going to be in the future?” Help them answer”I am going to be … in the future.
3. Show a model on the slide and have a dialogue with a student as an example.
4. Students work in pairs to practice their dialogue.
Step 7 Speak up
1. Play the tape for the students to listen and fill in the table.
2. Play again for reading and checking. Finish more blanks.
Step 8 Discussion
1. Read the proverbs.
2. Tell them to love their jobs whatever they choose in the future.
Step 9 Homework
Write something about your family members’jobs and work places.
(二)教学反思:
一、教学思路:
本课是7B Unit 2 Integrated skills的教学,备课前,我先对本单元的教学内容进行了全面的了解,这节课主要是围绕jobs and places 这一话题展开听、说、读、写综合技能的培养,由于生词较多,且对后面的听力影响很大,所以我将这些生词放到一个预设的情境My pen friend, Tom’s family members’ jobs and places中进行教学,并且按照jobs 和places 进行分类板书,这样有利于学生对生词的记忆和理解,也为后面的教学作了很好的铺垫。
听力部分主要是讲述Wendy’s family members’ jobs and places, 在听之前我先设计了两个问题让学生先整体感知听力内容并回答,其中一个是本课听力的难点,再加上之前生词呈现时的情境预设,所以这一部分对学生来说并不难,完成情况良好。同时,听后设计了一个report活动,对这一话题再次进行了巩固,学生基本能做到利用信息进行简单复述,起到了就这一话题进行说的训练作用。
Speak up 部分是几个学生谈论future jobs,涉及到 “What are you going to be in the future? I’m going to be … in the future.” 这一重点句型的教学。我将句型放到一个情境对话中先示范教学,然后让学生小组活动进行句型和话题的对话训练,再进行speak up 的教学,从学生掌握情况来看,基本达到教学目标。
最后,利用几个生活谚语对学生的“职业观”进行正确引导,为学生形成正确的价值观打下基础,同时也使学生的情感目标得到升华。
二、存在问题
1. 由于对学生情况不是很了解,课前也未与学生进行很好的沟通和交流,虽然课上学生都能积极举手,但在小组活动和课堂发言时,学生放的不够开,再加上自己的声音不够洪亮,导致课堂气氛不够活跃。
2. 由于这节课只有40分钟,而课前按45分钟一节课备的课,所以课堂节奏和语速对于初一学生略显过快,生词领读也不够充分,虽然学生们基础很好,之前也进行了很好的预习工作,但还有少数同学生词仍然读得不够熟练,未能完全掌握。
在今后的教学中,要不断提高自身素质,适应学生不断发展的需要,以更大的热情投入教学工作,让课堂变得生动精彩,取得更好的教学效果。
