(一)教学设计
一、Teaching aims:
1. To learn some new words about animals and phrases about showing the way, such as giraffe, forest, bamboo, go straight on, walk along the road, cross the bridge.
2. To get some information from the trip, using different reading strategies.
3. To be able to know how to read the map and show the way to different places.

Step 1 Lead-in
Lead in the topic “A trip to the zoo” by listening to a song.
Step 2 Pre-reading
Present some new words and phrases with the help of the map.

Step 3 While-reading
1. Skimming
Go through the passage and circle the different animals mentioned in it .
2. Scanning
⑴ Read the article quickly and match the animals with their correct positions.
Pandas A. To the north of the Panda House.
Lions B. To the north of the birds.
Birds C. To the east of the Monkeys.
Monkeys D. To the north of the South Gate.
Giraffes E. To the north-east of the Giraffes.
Elephants F. To the west of the lions.
⑵ Complete the map of Sunshine Zoo on the exercise paper.
3. Detailed reading
⑴ Read para1 and do T or F.

(二)教学思路及反思:
本节课是7下Unit4 Reading的第一课时,主题是“Fingding your way”。通过本节课的学习我想让学生们达到以下三个目标:1.能了解动物园常见动物的名称及基本习性。2.能根据地图识路,掌握方位的基本表达方式及能为别人指路。3.通过去动物园旅行获取一些信息,并通过各种方法提高学生的阅读技能。
我通过课前的歌曲“爸爸去哪儿”导入,让学生们在轻松愉快的气氛中开始这堂课。为降低学生对话阅读难度,通过呈现一幅自己去动物园的图片展开教学,学习了单词giraffe,forest,sound及指路用语walk along the road,go straight on,cross the bridge等.
Skimming环节,我设计一个任务:Circle the different animals in Sunshine Zoo. Skim的目标是要求学生快速扫读,了解动物园所见动物。此篇文章内容非常清晰,因此这个环节让学生了解动物园有哪些动物,同时也为接下来的Scanning阅读埋下伏笔。此项任务并不难,因此绝大多数学生都能很快找到答案,这样提高了他们的阅读自信心。
Sanning环节我设计了连线题,旨在增强学生的语篇意识并提高阅读技巧。通过这一环节让学生对文章出现的动物及他们所处的位置有更清晰的认识。
Detailed reading部分主要有两个目的:一是文本阅读处理,二是为读后活动介绍动物作铺垫。学生在课堂中有充分的时间进行阅读训练,这有利于他们在做导游指路时自然运用指路用语,并能起到集中训练语音语调的作用。
Post-reading部分的第一环节是根据整篇文章内容进行填空,可以让学生在全文的把握上有更深的了解。第二个环节是争选“最佳导游”,让学生对阳光动物园内的动物信息及路线有更深的印象。第三个环节是创设情景,邀请学生去我学校做客,他们到了车站后如何到我学校的路线训练。让学生通过本课所学知识,能够联系生活,做到知识的灵活运用。
我觉得以下几点做的比较好:1.对于单词的教学我能够积极创设情境,并没有枯燥教学,而是自然导入。2.整个阅读过程中,我采用了各种形式的阅读任务,旨在提高学生的各项阅读技能。3.能够积极鼓励学生让他们大胆发言,并对他们进行及时表扬,保持他们学习英语的兴趣并培养他们学习英语的自信心。
当然,这节课也存在一些问题。由于第一次借班上课,对于很多情况没进行设想。比如一开始忽略了自我介绍,没能和学生之间很好的拉近距离,导致当下很流行的歌曲“爸爸去哪儿”,问学生这首歌叫什么名字,都没什么人敢大声说,这真是我预先没想到的。其次,对于音标教学,我只是板书在黑板上,但教授生词时忽略了教学。另外,由于受到前面一开始上课时的一点点影响未能很好的把握时间,学生的最后一个指路活动未能很完整的呈现,只是让学生整体快速地说了一遍。最后,对于情感教育我似乎并没有很好的体现,使学生的情感目标未能得到很好的升华。
如果再给我一次机会,我定会注意这些问题,将精心设计的课堂完整地呈现给大家。
