Don’t + verb
Materials Needed:
Computer, CD-ROM, CAI
Procedures:
Activity 1: sing a song: animal sounds
Activity 2: Free talk
Teacher: It’s a sunny day. Would you like to come to the zoo with me now
Pupils: Yes, thanks.
Activity 3: CAI: present a picture of some plants in the park
Talk about the picture with pupils
① in the park, what can you see
② Do you like the roses
③ what’s your favorite tree
Activity 4: CAI: present a picture of pupils who are doing sports on the playground
(Some pupils are playing football, some are playing basketball…)
The same activities with Activity 3
Activity 5: 环保教育
CAI: show some signs in the park
“Don’t walk on the grass.”
“Don’t leave litter.”
“Don’t pick the flowers.”
(To introduce the language don’t + verb)
Activity 6: look and listen to the dialogue and then answer the questions
① where are Xiaoling and Janet going to
② Does Janet like animals
③ What are Janet’s favorite animals
④ What does Xiaoling’s mum say
Activity 7: answer the questions
Activity 8: learn the new words:
Panda, say, says, forget, see you tomorrow
Activity 9: look and listen to the dialogue two times
Activity10: read the dialogue after the computer
Activity 11: read the dialogue in groups
Activity 12: read the dialogue in different role
Activity 13: homework:
1. read and listen to the dialogue
2. copy the new words
3. act out the dialogue in pairs
