Unit 17 Sing Along，Unit 17 Dialogue
二、教学目标
（一）语言知识目标
1．学习单词：gym，science lab
2．学习指路的缩写说法：Straight on. Third/second right.
3. 学习问路的另一种表达方式： Could you tell me how to get to the …, please
4. 复习地点名词
5. 复习巩固问路及指路的句型
（二）语言技能目标
1．能用句型Could you tell me how to get to the …,please 进行问路。
2．能理解课文并流利地朗读课文；
（三）学习策略目标
能根据所学知识编对话，并表演。
（四）情感态度目标
教育学生要有文明礼貌和助人为乐的行为，热心为别人提供帮助。
三、教学重点
1. 学习本课的单词。
2．理解课文内容。
四、教学难点
让学生运用所学的知识进行拓展性的情景会话。
五、教学策略
1、借助多媒体课件呈现新知识。
2、由于本篇课文篇幅较长，因此采用课文录音分段教学的方式，化难为易，便于学生学习和记忆。
六、教学过程
（一）热身（Warming-up）
1．学唱歌曲：P79 How do I get to the zoo
2．利用图片复习地点名词。
（二）呈现与操练（Presentation and practice）
1.呈现P77地图
教师在黑板上画一张Guangzhou International School 的地图，并问学生：I’m lost. Where is the canteen/clinic/library/gym Could you tell me how to get to the … 以此引出新单词gym，lost及句型Could you tell me how to get to the … 。（板书新单词和句型）
(既复习了地点名词，又复习了指路的句型，也引出了新单词。)
2．学习Dialogue
1)听课文录音前，先介绍课文对话背景（Pupil 1, Pupil 2, teacher, Sally and Jiamin）
Jiamin is in Guangzhou International School. He’s going to the canteen to meet his friend Mike. But he doesn’t know how to get there. He is asking the way now.
2)听整篇课文的录音。
3）让学生带着问题听部分课文录音P77。
A. What is Jiamin going to do
B. Does Jiamin know the way to the canteen
3)再听部分课文录音P78,并回答问题。
A. Can Jiamin find the way
B. Is Jiamin lost
C. Where is Mike
4）跟读课文录音。
5）分小组，分角色朗读课文。

根据学校的结构图，两人一组编对话并表演。

五、教学策略
1）创设情境，让学生在情景中运用语言。
2）Sound Families字母组合发音教学采用见词读音（phonics）教学，教给学生学习单词的方法。
六、教学过程
（一）热身（Warming-up）
1．学唱歌曲： Rabbit（兔子舞） （附件提供）
2．利用图片复习地点名词。
3. 复习Dialogue
（二）呈现与操练（Presentation and practice）
1．学习字母组合sh,ch/tch,dr,tr的发音规则。
1)．听老师朗读课本第79页句子，然后学生自己朗读，总结各字母组合的发音。
2)．板书字母组合sh,ch/tch,dr,tr，学生总结后老师写下它们的发音。
3)．再次跟读录音机或金太阳教学软件中的字母组合的发音。
4)．学生小组合作找出其它含有字母组合sh,ch/tch,dr,tr的单词，并在找出的单词中，看看它们的字母组合的发音是否与今天所学的一致。
2. 呈现幻灯片内容：(PowerPoint: Let’s guess)
1)呈现一张地图A，地图右方写上该地图的一些地名，学生根据地名问老师该地名的位置。
Pupils: Can you tell me how to get to the …
Teachers: Yes. Go straight ahead. Take the second right. The … is on your right.
学生根据老师的描述指出正确的位置。
2)根据地图A右方的一些地名。一学生A选中一个地名，并面向全班学生，问其余学生：Can you tell me how to get to... 其中的一个学生B给学生A指路，学生A根据学生B的描述找出地名的正确位置。
3．学习P80 Work with language
1)根据P80 No.1地图听老师的指示语，找出地名的正确位置。

（三）发展与运用（Development）
根据上一课时的家庭作业中所设计的地图，两人一组练习所学语言知识。
（四）归纳与总结（Sum-up）
1）所学的句型。
2）字母组合sh,ch/tch,dr,tr的发音。
教学反思：
该模块的话题Directions（方向），与日常生活联系紧密。因此，在课堂组织形式和活动组织形式上，充分体现“以学生为主体”的教学原则，除了让学生学习课本的必学语言材料外，还营造了“真实性”的语言环境和开放的空间，让学生在交际中学习和运用语言。例如设计各种各样的游戏活动，如单词游戏，警察抓小偷，急救病人等，激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣。另外，还注意培养学生自主学习的能力和合作精神，并通过语言的学习，进一步培养学生助人为乐的精神。由于本话题的句型并不多，学生较容易掌握，因此，我在课本的歌曲与歌谣的基础上增加了歌曲Rabbit，小诗歌和一些课外练习，丰富学生的课外知识，并课堂气氛活跃起来。

除了介绍课本上的公园外，还可介绍英国的其他名胜古迹，如大笨钟Big Ben，剑桥大学Cambridge University，牛津大学 Oxford University，白金汉宫 Buckingham Palace，丽兹城堡 Leeds Castle，伦敦桥Tower Bridge，伦敦眼London Eye等等。
6．单词游戏：
教师师面对黑板说一个单词，全班学生马上站起来读这个单词，教师突然一转身，学生立即停止读这个单词，并立刻坐下。教师转身后看见谁没坐下的学生为失败者。（老师示范后，让学生进行操作）
7．句型操练活动1：
（根据P83 Project 地图以及课本所给的背景，在模仿的真实情境中表演对话。）学生以课室为基础构造一个地图，自由设定地点名称，根据教师所提供的背景编对话，并表演。
背景1：There’s an old man in the restaurant. He has a headache. Tell the ambulance man where the old man is.
背景2：There’s a tourist in the hotel. She wants to buy some fruit. Tell the tourist where the market is.
8．句型操练活动2: Catch the thief
1)（教师制作一张thief 单词卡，在黑板上画一张地图，并标上各个地名。）
教师拿出电话或手机，一副很着急的样子给公安局打电话，说：Policeman, catch the thief.
一学生问：Where is the thief
教师答：At the ….
2) 再由一学生与教师进行表演。
Pupil: Policeman, catch the thief.
Teacher: Where is the thief
Pupil: In the ….
Teacher: How can I get to the …
Pupil: Go straight ahead. Take the first left. The … is on your right.
Teacher 根据学生的指示将thief的单词卡贴在所在thief位置，“警察”便上前“抓小偷”。
