七、阅读理解(共16小题;共32分)
A
When
Frida
Kahlo's
paintings
were
on
show
in
London,
a
poet
described
her
paintings
as
“a
ribbon(丝带)
around
a
bomb”.
Such
comments
seem
to
suggest
Kahlo
had
a
big
influence
on
the
art
world
of
her
time.
Sadly,
she
is
actually
a
much
bigger
name
today
than
she
was
during
her
time.
Born
in
1907
in
a
village
near
Mexico
City,
Kahlo
suffered
from
polio(小儿麻痹症)
at
the
age
of
seven.
Her
spine(脊柱)
become
bent
as
she
grew
older.
Then,
in
1925,
her
back
was
broken
in
several
places
in
a
school-bus
accident.
Throughout
the
rest
of
her
life,
the
artist
had
many
operations,
but
noting
was
able
to
cure
the
terrible
pain
in
her
back.
However,
the
accident
had
an
unexpected
side
effect.
While
lying
in
her
bed
recovering,
Kahlo
taught
herself
to
paint.
In
1929,
she
got
married
to
Diego
Rivera,
another
famous
Mexican
artist.
Rivera's
strong
influence

Van

his

life
working
for
a
firm

After
a
brief
period
as
a
teacher,
he
became
a
missionary(传教士)
in
a
very
poor
mining
region.
He
did
not
begin
his
career
as
an
artist
until
1880;
however,
during
the
last
ten
years
of
his
life,
he
produced
more
than
2,000
pieces,
including
around
900
paintings
and
1,100
drawing
and
sketches(素描).
He
worked
only
with
somber
colours
until
he
met
Impressionism
and
Neo-Impressionism
in
Paris.
Van
Gogh
used
their
bright
colours
and
style
of
painting
in
a
uniquely
recognizable
style.
Most
of
his
best-known
works
were
produced
during
his
final
two
years,
when
he
was
suffering
from
serious

In

his
brother
and
his
best
friend,
at
his

who
reported
his
last
words
as
"The

It
would
not
take
long
before
his
fame
grew
higher

Van

quite
a
number

The

painting

sold

The

in
1888.
It

van

The
summer
I
was
ten,
my
mother
decided
to
bring
us
to
the
world
of
art.
My
brother
and
I
were
not
very
excited
when
we
realized
what
my
mother
meant.
What
she
meant
was
not
that
we
could
take
drawing
classes
or
painting
classes
but
that
we
would
have
to
spend
one
afternoon
a
week
with
her
at
the
Fine
Arts
Museum.
Before
each
visit
to
the
museum,
she
made
us
read
about
artists
and
painting
styles.
It
was
almost
as
bad
as
being
in
school.
Who
wants
to
spend
the
summer
thinking
about
artists
when
you
could
be
with
your
friends
at
the
swimming
pool
First
we
had
to
read
about
ancient
Egyptians(古埃及人)
and
their
strange
way
of
painting
faces
and
then
go
to
look
at
them
at
the
museum.
My
12-year-old
brother
thought
this
was
so
funny,
but
I
was
not
interested.
Later
we
had
to
learn
about
artists
in
the
Middle
Ages
who
painted
people
wearing
strange
long
clothing.
We
had
to
look
at
pictures
of
fat
babies
with
wings
and
curly(卷曲的)
hair
and
with
no
clothes
on
flying
around
the
edges
of
paintings.
I
certainly
couldn't
see
what
was
so
great
about
art.
On
our
last
visit
to
the
museum,
something
happened
when
I
saw
a
painting
by
a
woman
called
Mary.
In
it,
a
woman
was
reading
to
a
child.
The
colors
were
soft
and
gentle,
and
you
could
tell
by
the
mother's
expression
how
happy
she
was
just
to
be
with
the
child.
I
couldn't
stop
looking
at
this
painting!
I
wanted
to
see
every
painting
Mary
had
ever
made!
It
was
really
worth
looking
at
so
many
paintings
to
find
a
painter
who
could
interest
me
so
much.

The
aim
of
the
mother'
s
plan
was
to
.
A.
take
them
to
visit
the
museum
B.
introduce
them
to
the
world
of
art
C.
ask
them
to
read
about
artists
D.
show
them
different
painting
styles
106.
What
was
the
writer'
s
experience
in
the
museum
before
the
last
visit
A.
She
came
to
feel
her
mother'
s
love
B.
She
liked
many
paintings
C.
She
hardly
enjoyed
herself
D.
She
could
understand
the
pictures
of

babies
107.
What
made
the

go

change
that
summer
A.

paintings
B.
A
strange
way
of
painting
C.
Artists

From
the
text,
we
can
see
.
A.
the
importance
of
curiosity
B.
the
effect
of
art
C.
the
value
of
learning
D.
the
power
of
family
education
D
A
study
of
art
history
might
be
a
good
way
to
learn
more
about
a
culture
than
is
possible
to
learn
in
general
history
classes.
Most
typical
history
courses
concentrate
on
politics,
economics
and
war.
But
art
history
focuses
on
much
more
than
this
because
art
reflects
not
only
the
political
values
of
a
people,
but
also
religious
beliefs,
emotions
and
psychology.
In
addition,
information
about
the
daily
activities
of
our
ancestors
can
be
provided
by
art.
In
short,
art
expresses
the
essential
qualities
of
a
time
and
a
place,
and
a
study
of
it
clearly
offers
us
a
deeper
understanding
than
can
be
found
in
most
history
books.
In
history
books,
objective
information
about
the
political
life
of
a
country
is
presented;
that
is,
facts
about
politics
are
given,
but
opinions
are
not
expressed.
Art,
on
the
other
hand,
is
subjective:
it
reflects
personal
emotions
and
opinions.
The
great
Spanish
painter
Francisco
Goya
was
perhaps
the
first
truly
“political”
artist.
In
his
well-known
painting
The
Third
of
May,
1808,
he
criticized
the
Spanish
government
for
its
abuse
of
power
over
people.
In
the
same
way,
art
can
reflect
a
culture's
religious
beliefs.
For
hundreds
of
years
in
Europe,
religious
art
had
been
almost
the
only
type
of
art
that
existed.
Churches
and
other
religious
buildings
were
filled
with
paintings
that
described
people
and
stories
from
the
Bible(圣经).
Although
most
people
couldn't
read,
they
could
still
understand
the
Bible
stories
in
the
pictures
on
church
walls.
By
contrast,
one
of
the
main
characteristics
of
art
in
the
Middle
East
was
(and
still
is)
its
absence
of
human
and
animal
images.
This
reflects
the
Islamic
belief
that
statues
are
not
holy.
109.
We
learn
from
the
first
paragraph
that
.
A.
history
class
concentrates
on
religious
beliefs
and
emotion
B.
history
books
focus
on
personal
emotions
and
opinions
C.
art
history
shows
us
something
about
emotions
and
beliefs
D.
art
history
shows
us
nothing
but
the
political
values
110.
It
can
be
inferred
from
the
text
that
.
A.
history
teachers
must
be
quite
subjective
B.
artists
paint
people
from
the
Bible
to
show
their
political
beliefs
C.
you
can
hardly

113.

Anger

It

When

Will

Of

you
will.
But
just
like
everything
you

be
better
if
they
would
hire
more
people.
W:
They
won't
hire
more
people.
M:
No.
They
always
want
to
keep
the
cost
down.
I
am
really
overwhelmed
with
a
heavy
workload.
W:
⑦Maybe
you
should
talk
to
the
manager.
M:
Yes.
⑦I'm
going
to
bring
this
up
in
tomorrow's
meeting.
(Text

M:
Jane,
did
you
read
this
news
W:
What
news
M:
Some
scientists
boldly
predict
that:
⑧after
one
hundred
thousand
years,
human
race
will
become
two
types:
strong
and
healthy
clever
phenomenon
and
short
and
small
ugly
monster.
W:
That's
terrible.
What
causes
it
M:
Maybe
⑨because
of
the
more
and
more
advanced
technologies,
good
nutrition
and
medical
science,
human
beings
rely
on
these
greatly.
W:
You
mean
these
caused
human
race's
variation
M:
⑩If
we
rely
on
these
greatly,
they
can
make
our
body
functions
worsen
gradually.
W:
It
seems
not
in
the
alarmist.
M:
⑩Yeah,
we
should
pay
more
attention
to
it.
W:
You've
given
me
an
important
lesson.
(Text

W:
Hurry
up,
otherwise
we'll
miss
the
opening
ceremony
of
the
Track
and
Field
Sports
Meeting
of
our
university.
M:
OK.
Just
a
minute.
Let
me
tie
my
shoelaces.
W:
What
events
are
you
in
M:
100-meter
dash,
110-meter
hurdle
and
400-meter
relay.
W:
You
must
be
a
very
fast
runner.
M:
I'm
fond
of
races.
I
was
on
the
school
track
team
two
years
ago.
W:
Track
events
require
development
of
the
whole
body.
What's
your
record
for
the
100-meter
dash
M:
11.4.
I
broke
the
university
record
last
year.
What
events
are
you
in
W:
The
long
jump
and
high
jump.
M:
What's
your
record
of
high
jump
W:
2.20
meters.
M:
Not
bad.
I'm
sure
you
can
get
first
place
at
this
sports
meeting.
W:
I
hope
so.
(Text

W:
Hi,
Peter,
I
hear
you've
begun
to
stay
in
the
school
dormitory,
is
that
so
M:
Yes.
It
can
save
me
a
lot
of
time
riding
my
bike
to
school.
W:
That's
really
true.
What
is
the
dormitory
room
like
M:
It's
OK,
not
perfect.
But
for
the
students
it's
not
bad,
I
think.
W:
Why
What's
the
matter
with
it
M:
Well,
the
air-conditioning
doesn't
always
work.
It
was
terribly
hot
yesterday.
And
breakfast
is
very
early
in
the
morning.
Today
I
overslept
and
missed
it
completely.
W:
You
overslept
Why
was
that
M:
You
see,
there
are
two
more
boys
in
my
room.
They
got
so
excited
that
they
kept
talking
until
after
midnight
last
night.
I
couldn't
fall
asleep
and
even
after
one
o'clock.
W:
Oh,
no.
Well,
I
don't
know
what
you
can
do
about
the
breakfast
or
the
roommates.
But
why
not
ask
the
university
to
fix
another
air-conditioning
M:
En,
yes,
what
a
good
idea!
Why
didn't
I
think
of
that
before

M:
An
artist
went
to
a
beautiful
part
of
the
country
for
a
holiday,
and
stayed
with
a
farmer.
Every
day
he
went
out
with
his
paints
and
his
brushes
and
painted
from
morning
to
evening,
and
then
when
it
got
dark,
he
went
back
to
the
farm
and
had
a
good
dinner
before
he
went
to
bed.
At
the
end
of
his
holiday
he
wanted
to
pay
the
farmer,
but
the
farmer
said,
"No,

I
do
not
want
money
but
give
me
one
of
your
pictures.
What
is
money
In
a
week
it
will
all
be
finished,
but
your
painting
will
still
be
here."
The
artist
was
very
pleased
and
thanked
the
farmer
for
saying
such
kind
things
about
his
paintings.
The
farmer
smiled
and
answered,
"It
is
not
that.
I
have
a
son
in
London.
He
wants
to
become
an
artist.
When
he
comes
here
next
month,
I
will
show
him
your
picture,
and
then
he
will
not
want
to
be
an
artist
any-
more,
I
think."
