Tom’s Five Adventures
Adventure Ⅰ: Test the guts in the cemetery
One night Tom and his friend Huck went to the cemetery (墓地)for fun, accidentally witnessed a murder occurred(谋杀案发生). Fearing retaliation(报复), they did not dare to expose the truth.
However,after a fierce ideological struggle(强烈的自我挣扎), Tom finally gathered the courage to testify against the murderer Injun Joe in court.
Adventure Ⅱ: To be a “pirate”(海盗)
Tom, Joe and Huck ran away from home together. And they rode a raft to an island up to become "pirates“ and lived happily for some time.
People did not know their whereabouts, and thought they were drowned in the river. On the day of their funeral(葬礼), the trio(三人组) "miraculously"(奇迹般地) appeared.
Adventure Ⅲ: Hunt treasure in a haunted house
When Tom and Huck hunted treasure in a "haunted" house, they found Injun Joe and his cohorts(同伙) was burying money. They were almost found. But thanks to the stairs collapsed(倒塌的楼梯), they escaped.
Later, Huck tracked Injun Joe and found that they wanted to murder the widow Douglas. Huck hurried knocking on a neighbor's door for help. The widow(寡妇) rescued.
Adventure Ⅳ: Get lost in McDougal's cave
In a picnic, Tom and Becky got lost in a cave. During three days, they suffered cold and hunger and faced with the threat of death. In the end, they walked out of the cave, and the villagers found them.
They told experience in the cave, then villagers blocked the cave. Tom and Becky told the villagers they had seen Injun Joe in the cave. Then villagers found Injun Joe already dead in the cave.
Adventure Ⅴ: Hunt treasure in the cave
Tom and Huck returned to the cave and found a lot of treasure. They became the hero of the village.

Later, Huck was adopted by the widow because of his rescue. She taught him manners and let him wear clean clothes, but Huck can not stand those. One day he disappeared. Tom discovered he was asleep in an empty cask. Huck only felt free when wearing ragged.
In the end, they were planning new adventures.
