延续性动词指动作可以延续一段时间。如: talk、study、drink、eat等。
短暂性动词指动作发生,立即结束。如: come、call up、start、begin、knock等。

教材分析
教材的地位与作用
本课是新目标英语八年级下册第五单元,其教材是以“What were you doing when the rainstorm came?”为中心话题,学习和运用过去进行时让学生能描述过去正在发生的事情。是在学习了一般过去时、现在进行时后,表示在过去某一时刻或某一段时间正在进行的动作,用过去进行时。我讲解第3课时,Unit 5 What were you doing when the rainstorm came?
Section A Grammar Focus—4c Section B 1a—1d。
我以Section B的1a入手,以学生经常遇到的迟到问题,进行对话。进行1b、1c听力训练,从听力材料中对when和while比较,进入到对Section A Grammar Focus—4b的学习训练。其中把 Section B 1d去掉,Section A4a 改为对话, Section A 4c改为作文训练。
重点是过去进行时的用法,难点是when和while用法的差别。共分六课时,新授课、训练课、讲评课。对过去这些都是与我们的实际密切相关,能够轻松地激起学生学习英语的兴趣,师生、生生之间的交流也培养了学生的合作精神,促进了学生,教师的情谊,从而对学生英语学习水平的提高会有很大的促进。

课后反思
上完课后,我进行了反思。
学生分析:??1.本班大部分学生英语学习兴趣浓厚,积极参与活动,有一定的综合语言运用能力。??2.有一小部分同学英语基础欠缺,小组合作中的互帮互助可以很好的解决这一问题。??3.学生课前已经预习过相关生词,为新授课的学习奠定了一定基础。??(二)教材分析:??1.本课是Unit5中的第三课时,需要完成P36、P37的内容。??2.已经系统地学习了现在进行时和一般过去时,为本课中的过去进行时奠定了基础。???本节课成功的方面:??(1)整节课在新课标理念的指引下采用了task-based?language?teaching的教学模式,以学生为中心,让学生真正做到“learning?by?doing”。??(2)整堂课的各个活动自始至终围绕着过去进行时来学习、操练和实际运用,学生在轻松、愉悦的环境中达到了学习目标,感受到了学习的乐趣。??(3)重点突出,形式多样:通过?pair?work,?listening,?group work等形式,让学生充分练习运用过去进行时,从而能熟练掌握,激发兴趣。?通过课堂教学, 学生学习的主动性和积极性得以调动。另一方面,多媒体辅助教学形象生动,有利于学生从视觉听觉上更好更快地接受知识。?存在不足:??
1.课堂上学生好像成了配合教师上课的配角,没有给学生思考的空间,失去了其主观能动作用。教学过程中学生只是被动的回答问题,很少主动的提出问题。
2..课堂设置过于平淡,学生的学习气氛没有很好地被调动。对细节把控不够,课堂活动设置的不够精巧。
3.在掌握副词短语“when”和“while”层面不够深入,在学生活动中活动内容太少,组织形式只是那么两三种,没有完全调动学生的积极性,在这节课中,听、说、写的能力训练中,学生写的能力没有得到充分的训练,课后应通过做练习题来巩固知识点,进行写作训练。改进建议:
““满足学生需求的教学”才是有效的教学。以下是课后我跟学生沟通得到的收获。1、你能在更多的教学环节上激发我们的兴趣吗?2、你能否调节你的心态、情绪,以便我们处于一种最佳的放松状态下学习。3、请不要吝惜你的笑脸与鼓励。4、时间是你的,更是我们的。留点给我们考虑的时间吧!有时候你说得太快了。
总之,课后我认真的进行了反思,一堂成功的英语课,一方面教师必须具备熟练驾驭课堂的能力,标准的英语语音语调,有益于开发学生心智的课堂教学设计。课堂上,教师们除了使用多媒体等现代化教学手段外,另一个重要的方面就是处理好了教学活动的各个环节,既有引人入胜的开头,又有高潮迭起的中场,还有画龙点睛的结尾,更有开启学生发散性思维的升华,在有争议的问题上更注重培养学生多元的思维能力,促进创新精神的形成和发展。让学生在课堂上体验成功的喜悦,获得进取的力量。教学是一门永无止境的艺术,无论怎样构思教学,总要需要我们进一步改进的地方,因此,备好课绝不是一句空话,它需要我们充分了解教材,了解学生,需要我们踏踏实实地考虑好每一环节,最大程度地让学生接受每节课所学的知识。
