1. Warm-up:
⑴ Sing a “Friends”song.
⑵Let’s do:
Tall,tall,tall.Make yourself tall.
Short,short,short.Make yourself short.
Long,long,long.Make your arms long.
Short,short,short.Make your arms short.
Big,big,big.Make your eyes big.
Small,small,small.Make your eyes small.
⑶Listen and do:
Touch your mouth/nose/eye/eyes/…
⑷Free talk:
How old are you How are you
Nice to meet you .
2.Presentation
⑴friends
a. T:Hello.Nice to meet you .Now you’re my friend.I am your friend.We are friends.
b. Show the word card and teach Ss read.
Friends,friends,we are friends.
c.Let Ss spell the word and then T writes the word on the board.
⑵Describe two pictures by using the knowledge has learned.
a.T:Today we have two new friends.Now let’s have a look.
b.Show two pictures.T describes the man to the Ss.eg.He has big eyes and small ears.He has a big nose and a big mouth.
c.Ss describe the woman.(small eyes and ears/big mouth/small nose)
⑶long hair
a.Look at the woman .She has long hair.(with action)
b.Show the word and sentence and teach Ss read .
c.practice:
T points to a student.T:Look at ×××.
She has long hair.Who has long hair in our classroom
Let Ss point to a student and say ×××has long hair.
⑷.short hair
a.T points to a student and ask:Does she /he have long hair Let Ss answer:No.
T guides Ss to say :He has short hair.
b.T:Look at me .Miss Xu has short hair .Look at the man .He has short hair.
c.Present the sentence :He has short hair.
d.Practice:
Who has short hair

⑸.strong
a. T:Look at the man .He has short hair.He is strong.(with action)
b.Show the word and sentence:He is strong,then teach Ss read.
⑹.thin
a.T points to a student and ask:Are you strong No,you’re thin.
b.Show the word and teach.
c.Look at the woman.She has long hair .She is thin.
Show the sentence:She is thin. and teach Ss read.
c. Who is thin
×××is thin.
⑺quiet
a.Show a picture of a quiet girl in their classroom.Let Ss discuss and then describe her.
b.After description ,T fetches out the word :quiet.She is quiet.
c.Show the word and sentence ,then teach Ss read.
d.Who is quiet in our classroom
Let Ss answer the question.
3. Practice
⑴Let’s chant:
Long hair , long hair. She has long hair.
Short hair , short hair. He has short hair.
Thin , thin. She is thin.
Strong , strong. He is strong.
Quiet , quiet . She is quiet.
Friends , friends . We are friends.
Say the chant in groups and together.
⑵.Listen to the tape and repeat.
⑶Let’s find out
a. Show the pictures.T describe one picture.Let Ss describe the other three.
b. Listen to the computer and find out :Who’s Zoom’s best friend
4. Consolidation
⑴.T describes own friend.
Show a picture of friend and describe .
⑵Let Ss take out their photos and describe in group of four.
⑶Ask some Ss to come to the front and describe their friends to the class.
⑷Homework:
a.Copy the new words five times.
b.Describe your friends to your parents.
