本课是新目标英语八年级第三单元第一课时，让学生了解除了中国外的世界名胜，并学会介绍自己旅游过的地方，以便更进一步运用形容词和定语从句。在上一单元运用定语从句谈论自己喜好的基础上，进一步学习和运用定语从句谈论所喜欢去旅游的地方，本课通过听、说、读、写的全面训练能力，进一步提高学生听、说、读、写的综合素质能力。
