9A u2 Grammar (A) (B)
一 would rather do A than (do) B :表达“宁愿A而不愿B”，“与B相比更愿意A”（1）would rather后加动词原型 ，than后加动词原形 或者 名词 后者介词短语
I would rather stay at home than go out.
She’d rather have Western food than （have）Chinese food.
I would rather shop at the weekend than on weekdays.
*She would rather do some cleaning than (do some ) shopping.
2）当我们只想表达“想做某事时”，我们可以只用would rather，而不带than.
I would rather stay at home.
练习：用would rather ---than--- 完成句子
1. sleep/ go out （I ）
2. Buy books/ buy clothes （she）
3. go to work by bike/ go to work by bus ( they)
4. Eat Chinese food/ eat western food （he）
5. Walk to the supermarket/ take the bus ( you)

二 prefer doing A to doing B 和prefer A to B （preferred）
“宁愿A； 更喜欢A”, “喜欢一件东西，而不喜欢另一件东西”.
prefer可跟名词 或 动名词doing, to后跟名词 或 动名词doing
I prefer red to blue.
I prefer walking to jogging.
Eddie prefers eating and sleeping to walking and running.
Which do you prefer, milk or tea
*Daniel prefers red flowers to blue ones.
*Mary prefers swimming to high jump.
*补充（1）： prefer to do sth rather than do sth 表示“宁愿做…而不愿做…”
I prefer to study at night rather than watch TV.
My mother prefers to live in the countryside （rather than live in the city）. She preferred him to stay at home all day.
Where do you prefer to go for lunch 你想去哪里吃午餐？
*补充(2)：宁愿（不）做某事：would rather (not) do sth.
= prefer (not) to do sth
总之：(1)宁愿做事情A，而不愿做事情B ： would rather do A than (do)B.
=prefer doing A to doing B
= prefer to do A rather than do B
(2)喜欢A，而不喜欢B prefer A to B = like A better than B

Grammar （C） （D）
一指代人的不定代词 ‘someone/ somebody’,’anyone/anybody’,‘no one/ nobody’
以上几个词都是的不定代词，当我们不确定所谈论的人的名字或不需要提及他的名字时，就可以用不定代词来表示。
(1) someone/somebody 用来表示“不确定的某个人”，常用于肯定句中。
There is someone in the fitting room.
Somebody wants to see you at the gate.
Someone is on the phone now, you have to wait for minutes.
Some people are waiting in a line outside the shop.
(二)anybody/ anyone （1）表示“任何一个人”=any person ，anyone常用于肯定句中
Anyone in need of stength should wear red.
（2）“不确定的某个人”，anyone用于疑问句和否定句中。
Has anybody come
Is there anyone in the room.
I can’t see anyone in the library.
(三) no one/ nobody 表示“没有人”；“没有任何人”。
No one has come.
Nobody knows where he is.
Somebody has taken away the book.
If anyone calls me, tell him I’ll come back soon.
二 指代物的不定代词‘something/ anything/ nothing/ none’
‘something, anything, nothing, none 也是不定代词，something, anything, nothing 常指‘物’，代表不确定的某样东西或不需要提起名字的某样东西。
（一） something 表示“某个物”，常用于肯定句中。
Simon has something in his bag.
Something is wrong with my bike.
（二）anything （1）表示‘任何东西/事情， 常用于肯定句中。
（2）某物，用于疑问句和否定句中。
For a better life, he will do anything.
Did he find anything
She didn’t say anything about it.
(三) nothing, 表示否定的意思，没有某样东西
I have nothing to say.
(四) none 表示否定的意思，一个都没有,一点也没有。 none 既可指代‘人’，也可指代‘物’。
none 常和of连用，做主语或宾语。none of + C.N. / U. N.
None of us want（s） to go there.
I want to buy some apples, but there was none left.
He did none of his task.
注意：（1）以上不定代词在含义上都是单数，所以后面的动词要用单数形式。
注意：（2） 当我们在征求意见，并且想要得到对方肯定答复时，疑问句中也可以用something.
Can you do something for me I really need your help.
注意：（3）以上不定代词在含义上都是单数，所以后面的动词要用单数形式。
注意：（4）表没有： what---nothing, how many------none , who----- nobody/no one
