Unit 1 Hello!
The First Period
Part A Let’s talk, Let’s learn, Let’s sing & Let’s do
一、 Teaching Aims:
1. Learn to say: Wu Yifan, Sarah, Chen Jie, Mike, Bai Ling, Miss White
2. Introduce oneself & sing a song.
3. Learn to say new words: crayon, eraser
4. A chant: Show me your….
二、Special difficulties:
1. Write the names. 2. 认读pencil, pen, ruler, crayon, eraser
三、 Teaching Aids:
1. A crayon, an eraser 2. Five pictures, a recorder and a tape.
四、Teaching Procedure:
Step1 Warmer
Make greetings. (Use Hello and Hi to make greetings with students.)
Step2 Presentation
1. T: In this new term, I’d like to introduce some new friends to you. They come from America and China.
2. Show 头饰: Sarah, Mike, Miss White, Chen Jie and Wu Yifan. Make greetings with each one.
E.g. T: This is Sarah. She’s from America. Let’s say “Hello!” to her.
Ask Ss to read the name several times. And write down the name on the Bb. And then, use the same way to introduce others.
3. Introduce how to write the Chinese names in English.
E.g. 孙浩 Sun Hao 陈伊丽 Chen Yili
4. Have a role play. T戴头饰扮演Sarah, 另一学生戴头饰演Wu Yifan
T: Hello! I’m Sarah. S: Hi! I’m Wu Yifan.
Goodbye! Bye!
Then, give 头饰to others. Let them make the above dialogue. (Call two pairs.)
5. Play the cassette and ask Ss. To repeat.
6. Practice the dialogue in groups of four. (事先请4位同学表演以下)
Step 3. A game
请戴着Mike, Sarah, Wu Yifan, Bai Ling, Chen Jie, Miss White, John的同学站在台上，其他同学分成两组竞赛，每组每次选派2位同学上台参加比赛，让7位同学中的一位同学向他们打招呼，参加比赛的同学根据他们的记忆，来猜测该位同学所扮演的角色的姓名。如果猜中，要说：Yes, I’m…,如果猜错， 要说啊；No, I’m…
Step 4. Presentation
Show a box and say: Look! It’s a box. I have some stationeries in it. Guess! What is it Go on the above match.
Use this way to present the new word: crayon.
When Ss guess right, T takes it out. And then say: Show me your…
Ss guess the meaning of this sentence and show the pictures one by one .
Step 5. Listen and do
Play the cassette and learn to do the TPR activity.
Step 6. Homework
1. Listen to the tape from Page 4 to Page 5.
2. Copy the following names on the exercise books: Mike, Sarah, Miss White, Mr. Black, Chen Jie, Bai Ling, Wu Yifan, John and one’s own name.
