Part C Story time and culture
一、Teaching Aims:
1. New words: Zoom, Zip
2. New pattern: Who’s there It’s… Happy Teacher’s Day!
3. A song: Happy Teachers’ Day!
二、Special Difficulties:
1. 理解并使用Happy Teacher’s Day!
2. 理解并使用Who’s there It’s…
三、Teaching Aids:
1. A slide project. 2. A recorder and a tape. 3. 9 word cards & a name card.
四、Teaching Procedure:
Step1. Warmer
1. Make greetings with “Hello! Hi!”
2. Ask and answer. T: I’m / My name’s… What’s your name See you!
3. A game: Say a rhyme and play a game.
A rhyme: Names, names, are not the same. My name’s … And what’s your name
( T与3 Ss 示范3次) Then, do this game in groups of four.
Step2. Word game
Show the word cards and read the words. And then, play the game.
四人小组活动，定组长，按顺序给自己的卡片标上1，2，3，4（学生1给自己的卡片全标上1， 学生2给自己的卡片全标上2……）And then, close the eyes, everybody can get 9 cards.如果在自己拿的卡中有两张或三张pencil,却没有book 和ruler,就得向另一位同学说” Do you have a …”被问的同学如果只有一张或没有book,就可以答No. 如果有两张就可以答Yes, I have.并送给他一张。这样就有给出卡片的同学继续提问下一位同学，看谁先把手中的卡片换成完整的一套，谁就获胜。
Step3. Presentation
1. T: Today I also bring two new friends to you. Look! Who’s there Oh, it’s Zoom. / Zip. (板书) Ask Ss to read the names. And then, guess the meaning of “Who’s there ” and then, read it several times. 顺便介绍Are you… Give Ss more examples: Are you John Are you a boy Then, play a guessing game. 听音猜人。
2. Ask Ss to look at the picture and say the story. And then, play the cassette and learn to say. Try to know: Guess!
3. Have a role play.
Step4. Make a card
1. Sep. 10th is the Teacher’s Day in China. Tell Ss in the different country the Teacher’s Day is also the different. Ask Ss to make a card for their favorite teacher.
2. Learn to sing “Happy Teacher’s Day”
Step7. Activity book
Do Ex.6 in Page 6.
