1. Teacher’s activity
Step1. Warming up and revision
(1)Hello! Boys and girls!
(2)Let’s play a game. If I say long, you should say short. If I say big, you should say small.
Step2. Leading-in
(1)T: The lesson we’re going to do today is about London. Where’s London
T: What else do you know about London
T: Now please watch TV.
(Show a map of London)
Introduce the follow places.
Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, River Thames London Eye
T: Now I’m going to play the tape .If you hear any of those names on the tape, tick them.
Step3: Listening and Reading Activities
(1)Play the tape and pauses it after each sentence.
(2)Play the tape.
Step4. Work in pairs.
Play the tape again. Pause it after each utterance.
Look at Activity 1 and find “does” and “lives”

(1)Cultural Notes:
Buckingham Palace
This palace was bought by King George3, Who wanted to live near St. James Park. It has been the official London residence of the British Monarch since 1837when Queen Victoria was the first monarch to take up residence.
(2)Please write a letter according the text.
