1. Students learn to talk about future intentions.

Step 1 Warming up
1. Show the title.
2. T: Class, can you make any predictions about the future?
Ss: Yes/No.
Step 2 Lead in, new language presentation
1. T: Look at the screen. Listen to the conversations between the two boys. Do they think there will be robots in people’s homes? Will kids go to school?
2. Pair work.
A: What will you be in 20 years ? B: I will be a / an ________.
A: How will you do that? B: I will ________.
3. T: What will our life be like in 100 years?
(1) Demonstrate; Learn and read.
(2) Students learn in their group.
Step 3 Work on 1a
1. Read the sentences.
2. How will the world be different 100 years from now? Read the predictions in 1a. Check A for agree or D for disagree.
3. Show their answers: I agree / disagree that ____________________.
Step 4 Work on 1b
1. T: Now listen to the recording and circle the predictions you hear in 1a.
2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and circle the predictions.
3. Play the recording again and check the answers with the Ss.
Step 5 Pair work
1. Let Ss read the first conversation in 1c after the teacher.
2. Then let Ss ask and answer questions about the predictions in 1a. Then make their own conversations.
3. Let some pairs ask and answer about their conversations.
Step 6 New language presentation
T: Make more predictions using the structures:
Will there be more schools? Yes, there will. / No, there won’t.
There will be more people.
Step 7 Work on 2a
1. Read the sentences in 2a. Tell Ss they will listen to some sentences. They should listen and circle the words in the bracket.
2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and circle the words.
3. Play the recording again to check the answers.
Work on 2b
1. Let Ss read the sentences below. Explain some main sentences for the Ss. Make sure they know what to do.
2. Play the recording for the Ss to check the predictions they hear.
3. Play the recording again to check the answers.
Step 8 Game
Predict the world in the future. You can make predictions about 2 or 3 things such as the robots, the schools and so on.

1. Read the conversation quickly and answer two Qs.
2. Listen and repeat. Then read aloud for 5 minutes to recite.

Unit7 Will people have robots? 课后反思
本课是本单元第一课时,内容为教材1a-2d,本课内容围绕探讨未来的变化引导学生正确使用一般将来时will,并提高学生对保护社会环境、自然资源等方面的认识。
本课主要以描述未来、预测未来为话题,主要涉及了日常生活,学习方面,城市变化及世界和平、环境的变化,通过这些话题引导学生对未来的美好憧憬,祝福未来各方面的发展越来越好。
以下是我对本课的教学反思:
亮点如下:
1.本课思路清晰,主线明朗,层层递进。全课主要围绕预测未来,练习一般将来时及there be句型的一般将来时,借助多媒体课件激发了学生学习积极性,教育学生珍惜今天,努力学习,建设美好明天。
2.新课展示部分通过让学生看课本图片,提出问题:Do they think there will be robots in people’s homes? Will kids go to school? 通过让学生聆听两个男孩对话直接导入,鼓励学生猜测What will there be in the future? 此处我觉得设计得较好,让学生开放式地展开想象,并在说中不知不觉地学会了there will be…句型。
3.在pairwork环节中,通过鼓励学生用there will be… 句型说出以后社会及城市的变化,从there will be fewer cars到there will be less pollution, 再到there will be more free time, 以致拥有和谐生活,让学生对未来的社会拥有更加美好的憧憬。
4.在整个教学过程中,生生互动,师生互动,小组合作交流,学生不再是被动地接受知识,课堂中力求营造一个宽松的学习氛围。通过这节课,我真正尝到了探究互助式学习的甜头,课堂上每一个学生都充分展示自己。
以下是不足之处:
1.本课虽思路清晰,但对各个环节的具体设计考虑还是不够周到,目标语运用得不够全面,让学生运用目标语时受到局限。仔细回想,若是有时间让学生预测自己100年后生活的变化,学生定会有话可说,有内容可预测。
2.本课练习的广度还有待提高,应力争让每一个学生有更多参与课堂活动的机会。
3.我的教态、教学语言还需要继续改进提高,缺乏灵活性和艺术性。课堂口语还有待细化和进一步提高。我深深的感到要打造一堂实效、高效、自主、和谐有活力的课堂还需不断努力!
