一、本模块教学目标：
1. 熟记古代中国人的四大发明（造纸，印刷术，指南针，火药），这对于全世界是个巨大的贡献。Paper (paper making), printing, compass, gunpowder
2. 四会掌握本模块八个新单词：
Invent, paper, important, printing, print, bicycle
3. 熟练掌握词形变化：z
invent—invented; print—printing(名词、现在分词)， printed (过去式)， Bicycle is called bike for short. Bike is short for bicycle.
4. 本模块在以前学习过去时态的基础上，进一步学习部分动词的过去式及其在文中的运用。
这些动词是：Invent—invented, print—printed.
5. 熟读提供的文本材料，鼓励背诵。
6. 熟练掌握习惯用语：
What a good idea! That’s right. You know. Like this.
二、课时安排：
新课程2课时；练习1课时；达标检测1课时；反馈讲解1课时。
Unit 1 Chinese people invented paper.
1. Lead-in：
T: Which country is it (China: The People’s Republic of China.)
T: The people from China are (Chinese)
T: Are the Chinese people very clever
Ss: Yes. Chinese people are very clever.
T: Chinese people invented many things.
T: Chinese people invented paper, printing, compass and explosives.
T: They are very important.
Ss are asked to join all the sentences together and say them.
2. Let’s watch a video and Chinese people’s four Great Inventions.
