二、教学目标:
1. 知识目标: 1.) 学习本文出现的生词与词组.

2. 技能目标: 1. 通过阅读, 了解湄公河的相关情况.
2. 学生能运用他们所学到的知识来描述一次旅行.
3. 归纳阅读篇章的主要内容,并描述两位主人公王坤和王薇不同的个性和态度。
3. 情感目标: 让学生意识到如果要成功,什么样的素质是必不可少的.
三、教学步骤:
步骤一 热身
1.谈论个人旅游经历
课前让学生欣赏歌曲“ Moon river”(边播放音乐边展示歌词)。
教师提问学生是否喜欢旅游,曾经去过哪里旅游,并且教师展示一些与旅游有关的图片,从而引出本课的主题。

设计意图:课前播放音乐可让学生在轻松的状态下进入本单元主题的学习,同时也可训练学生听歌词的能力。大部分学生都喜欢旅游,老师询问学生是否喜欢旅游,谈谈自己旅游的经历,能有效地调动学生的学习积极性。让一两个学生先介绍自己旅游的情况后让其他学生提问,能够活跃课堂气氛,也能为学生创造说英语的环境,锻炼学生的口语。
2.小组对话:旅游计划
1)教师提问个别学生喜欢用哪种方式旅游及其理由,列出常用的几种交通方式。
2)假设有四天时间让学生去旅游,两人讨论旅游计划,要求学生考虑各种交通工具的费用,并运用现在进行时表将来。讨论过程中,学生应记录旅游计划的要点,以便向全班汇报。
3)教师选择一两个小组汇报旅游计划。
步骤二导入
教师展示一些河流的图片,学生猜测河流的名字,从而引出湄公河。

让学生看地图了解湄公河所流经的国家和地区。
设计意图:了解湄公河及其流经的国家,为随后的阅读做好了内容和词汇上的铺垫。
步骤三 阅读
略读 让学生快速阅读,然后总结每一段的段落大意。
设计意图:学生第一次快速阅读,找出文章中最简单的信息,目的是教学生学会快速阅读的技巧。
2. 找读:学生快速浏览课文,寻找相关信息并回答问题
设计意图:第二次边听边读可以纠正学生的一些读音错误,找出一些详细信息,更深地理解课文,为之后的归纳总结与复述打下基础。
精读: 学生仔细阅读每一段,然后分别回答每一段的相关问题.
设计意图:让学生再次阅读课文,充分理解课文
4. 简单概括: 边听录音,边仔细阅读课文,完成PPT中所列表格。
5. 课文深层理解: 小组讨论做课后的理解题对文章有更深层的理解,然后
设计意图:让学生自己归纳总结,并以协作式活动让学生互相讨论交流,培养学生合作学习习惯,提高学生合作的能力。
步骤四 复述
设计意图:老师给出范例,是为学生提供比较规范的模式,更好地让学生学习复述的技巧。教师叫学生复述时,两次提出不同的要求,难度逐渐增大,体现了教学的梯度性,可让不同层次学生都有表现的机会。
步骤五 作业
设计意图:学生虽然学完阅读课文,但并没完全理解部分重点词汇、短语的使用,因此布置学生自己根据自我理解而划出重点词汇和短语以及文章中的难句, 为下一节语言点的学习做了很好的铺垫。课本P.20的练习也可以帮助学生更进一步掌握本课的词汇和短语。
