一、教学目标:

三、教学过程
Ⅰ. Warming-up and lead-in
Play a guessing game:Who is she? Ask the students to read some sentences to help them,for example:she is tall,she has big eyes and so on. Help the students to answer,then lead in the new lesson.Show the leaning aims.Ask the students to read together.
Ⅱ. Presentation
1.Talk about the famous peopleabout their height,build and hair.

2. Match the words with the people in the picture. (1a)
Now please look at P1, Use the letters to match the people in the picture with one of the numbered words. Write each letter next to a numbered word. You can use some letters more than once. Point out the sample answer.

课后反思
本课教学由于是第一课时,所以对学生的要求不高,只要求掌握基本的目标句型就可以了,在后面的课程中还要进行句型变化的训练。
成功之处:
1、将单词教学与句型相结合,加深学生的理解与掌握。
2、师生之间情感与知识的交流是双向的。学生能在一种宽松和谐、融洽、默契的氛围中进行学习、交流,提高了他们的英语学习兴趣。
3、对教材进行了适当的整合,使学习者身临其境,学生的参与意识增加了。课堂效率提高了。
不足之处:
1、对于活动的参与,因为班级的人数比较多,回答问题的毕竟是少数学生,而有些学生可能一次也没有回答过问题,没有做到全员参与活动。
2、有一些活动的要求没和学生说清楚就做活动以至于效果不是很好。

本单元的教学核心项目是“描述人的外貌”(Describe People),涉及到讨论人的身高、体重、发型、面部特征及其着装等语言项目。教材内容围绕着描述人的外貌特点展开,让学生学会谈论人的身高、体重、发型、面部特征及着装特点,以人的外貌特征为主线,兼顾交际功能的学习,以一种循序渐进的生活化的学习程序,引导学生学会用英语介绍自己或他人的外表特征。这些内容与学生的实际生活密切相关,易于引发学生运用简单的英语进行交际和交流,所以在学习活动中,学生能通过交换对不同人物的描述及看法,促进学生之间和师生之间的情感交流,增进情谊。 本节课从根据人的外貌特征找人,来呈现与此相关的形容词、短语 (Activity1a)到听力练习(Activity1b, 2a, 2b),让学生学会描述人的外貌,引出本单元的语法项目have动词 和be动词的用法,到句型操练(Activity1c,2c),语言目标层层递进,主要展示了重点句型: What does he/she look like? He/She is tall. He/She has curly hair. What do you/they look like?? I’m thin. /They’re medium height. 最后还有一个猜人游戏:Who’s he/she? 以游戏的方式来检测学生对本部分单词和句型的掌握情况。
