Unit 1 What does he look like 教材分析
1）本单元是九年制义务课程标准实验教科书《新目标英语》七年级上册第一单元，本单元的核心话题是谈论人的外表形象（image），日常生活中，我们经常要向别人描述人物，如我们所熟悉的人物的身高、发型、胖瘦等，本单元将学习以上内容。因此‘talking about sb’s image’是教学重点。
2）本单元的话题是描述人物的外部特征。新目标教材设计是由易到难，由浅入深，以滚雪球的方式编排的。有以前知识作为基垫，本单元学生接受起来就更加的容易些。在本单元，所设计的各项活动都是学生在老师的指导下，在真实的语言环境中体会语言、运用语言、感受语言、品语言进而创造性的运用语言，表达自己的思想。对学生的知识，能力及情感价值观均会得到更高水平的提升。
Unit 1 What does he look like 课后反思
在这堂课的设计上我是从以下几个方面去考虑的，以下是本节课的亮点：
第一：为了更好的让课程走进学生的生活世界，贯穿在学中用，在用中学的思想，用图片，形象设计，小组比赛活动及多媒体应用相结合，更加有效的调动学生们学习的积极性。
第二：贴近学生的生活，让学生的口、手齐动。我让学生自备明星照片讲述，以及用“猜朋友”的办法来描述他人进行思维与口头的训练，同时我让学生们自己设计绘画自己将来的形象，培养了他们的动手能力，并且描述出来，这就让学生手口齐动。
不足之处：
学生发言不够积极。 课堂调控能力仍需加强。 没有把学生的激情完全调动起来，导致课堂上没有那么活跃。今后我应该多学习专业知识，多向其他老师学习，多方位的了解学生，把握好教学进度，分析好学情，弥补自己的不足，争取以后能学到更多的知识，能更好的上好课，教好书。

一、教学目标
1. 知识目标
1) 识记描述人物外貌特征的词汇
Short, long, curly, straight, blonde, brown, hair, bald, tall, height, thin, heavy, a medium build, glasses, beard mustache
2) 学会使用询问、描述人物外貌特征的句型。

1) 学会询问他人外表。
2) 学会谈论，描述身高，体重，发型，面部特征及着装等外貌特征。并根据描述画出人像。
策略目标
猜测，逻辑排序，概括与推理。

通过描述身边同学、朋友、教师、家人的外表，增加彼此之间的感情，培养人际交往能力，同时感受到语言使用的趣味性。
二、教学重、难点
1. 教学重点
1) What引导的询问外貌的特殊疑问句。
2) be, have, wear的一般现在时用法。
3) 描述外貌的形容词。
2. 难点
1) 注意比较动词“has”和“is”在对人物进行描述时的用法及汉语意思的差别。
2) 注意当句子主语是第三人称单数时，在句型What does he/she/your friend/A’my look like?中助动词用does，后面用动词原形look。
a. 教具：录音机、磁带，学生带所喜爱的演员、歌星、影星、球星等名人的海报，图片、VCD等东西。
b. 步骤建议
步骤1 ：让学生看1a SectionB中图片，用字母番号与6个单词配对，学习理解核心词汇：bald, beard, mustache, black, blonde.
步骤2 ：让学生两人或四人小组看1b中描述人物外表的词语，相互讨论自己所认识的音乐家，演员或周围熟悉人物哪些具有这些外貌特征，将人名填在空格中。
步骤3 ：看2a图片，听录音，分别完成2a, 2b有关Johnny Dean和Tina Brown职业及外貌的听力练习
步骤4 ：本节课可供选择的任务型活动1:2c Groupwork 我最喜爱的……（音乐家、歌手、演员、运动员等，无条件班级可选自己身边亲人，老师或朋友）。
操作建议：1. 让学生拿出事先准备的海报，照片等4人一组，相互讨论，人物外貌等，一人记录相关信息。
2. 每组派一名代表，将海报等贴在黑板上，指图向大家介绍推荐名人，其他同学对其表现作出适当评价。
步骤5 ：写作，My favorite … : 3C Section B 写作最好放在活动1后，完成后，选出范文，全班欣赏，张贴在学习园地。
