set 的用法
1.set up 建立，开办
eg.The young man has just set up a new national record in high jump. 那个小伙子刚创造跳高全国记录。 It is difficult for us to set up a school within a month. 我们在一个月内很难建立一所学校。
2.set down:制定, (使)放下,降落
The desk was set down before the window.
把书桌放在窗前。
We set down in a heavy fog.

3.set out出发,动身,开始,阐明
They will set out at dawn.他们将在拂晓出发。 4.set oneself up as 以…自居

make还有以下用法：

fill :(使)充满, (使)装满, 填满
be filled with =be full of 充满

tell:tell sb sth 告诉某人某事
I told him an exciting news.
tell sb to do sth 告诉某人做某事
I told him to open the door.
be told to do sth 被告诉做某事

talk: talk about
talk with/to sb.

say直接用于某人说的话前
tell 的用法
bring，take，carry，fetch
　　
这四个词都是动词，都含有“带”或“拿”的意思，但使用场合各不相同。
　　Bring“带来”、“拿来”； take是bring的对语，“带去”、“拿去”。例：
　　Next time don't forget to brig me a copy of your work． 　　下次不要忘了把一份您的作品带给我。
　　Please take these books to the library for me． 　　请把这些书替我带到图书馆去。
　　Carry表示“运载”、“携带”之意，运送的方式很多，可以用车、船，也可以用手；fetch则表示“去拿来”（go and bring）的意思。例：
　　They are carrying some paintings to the art gallery． 　　他们正在把一些画带到艺术馆去。
　　He's just gone out to fetch some water． 　　请等一会儿。他刚出去打水。
　　
　　Take that box and bring it with you，or if it is too heavy for you to carry it，I'll send Tom to fetch it．
