1.Revision---vocabulary and sentence structures
2.Let the students know more about the rule of the English pronunciation

word cards, tape recorder, computer
Teaching procedures:
Step1.Revision
1. Warm-up: sing the song
2. Review vocabulary and sentences (use the word cards and computer)
Show out the cards and ask Ss to say out the words quickly.
Play cards , ask and answer.
Step2. Presentation:
1. Getting ready
A. Write “toys” and “noise” on the board and underline “oy” and “oi”.
B. T: Repeat after me. “toys”. [Ss: toys.]
“noise”. [Ss: Noise]
C. T : (Point to “oy” and “oi”.) Let’s practice the sound [ ].
Look at my mouth and repeat.
D. T: [ ]. \Ss: [ ] \
2. Using the book
A. Have Ss look at the pictures on the page.
B. Make the sound / /, pointing at the spelling patens (oy, oi) in the words.
C. T: Let’s listen to the tape.
D. Play the tape and have Ss point to each word as the tape says it.
E. T: Let’s listen again and have this time, repeat.
F. Play the tape again and have Ss repeat after the tape.
G. After enough practice, point to the pictures randomly and have Ss say the words.
3. Chant activity
A. Getting ready
a. T: Put your heads down and close your eyes.
b. T: Now I will read a chant. Repeat the words with the sound / /.
c. T: My favorite toys are cars and planes. [Ss: Toys]
d. Continue with the rest of the sentences.
B. Using the book
a. T: Let’s listen to the chant. Point to the pictures.
b. Play the tape once and have Ss point to the pictures.
Play the tape again and have Ss point to the lyrics
while listening to the chant.
c. T: Let’s chant together.
d. Play the tape and have Ss chant along.
4. Conclusion: Let the students discuss what they have learned in this period.

1. Read sounds and words .
2.Do Writing Book P12.
