连词是贵阳近5年中考的必考点。从属连词主要考查其在状语从句中的运用及辨析，常见的有though，although引导的让步状语从句；if，unless引导的条件状语从句；when，while，as soon as引导的时间状语从句等。语句设置多为一个单句，词数为10～13。
并列连词主要是其在句中的逻辑关系与意义，如表转折、因果、并列、选择关系的用法。其中，对but表转折的用法考查较多。语句设置比较简单，多为11～12词。

(2)(al)though与but这两个连词也不能用在同一个句子中。但though与yet，still可以同时出现在一个句子里(yet和still作副词用)。如：Although he is old，he still works hard.＝He is old，but he still works hard.
