一、教学内容分析
教学内容为新目标英语七年级上册第七单元Section A 。本课在语言知识上侧重形容词和副词的比较级的学习及训练。学习内容主要体现在以下三点:
1、学习有关人物特点的单词:tall, thin, short, heavy, long hair, short hair, outgoing, quiet, funny, serious, smart, athletic, ect.
2、学习人物比较的重要句型:
(1) Pedro is funnier than Paul.
(2) Tina is taller than Tara.
(3) Tom is more athletic than Sam.
3、掌握语法点:the comparative and superlative degrees of adjectives (形容词的比较级和最高级)
二、教学目标
1、谈论学生感兴趣的话题,指导学生学习有关人物特点的单词、人物比较的表达及语法知识点形容词的比较级和最高级。
2、学生根据班级的真实情况,采用名人专访、公众投票、明日之星的游戏,培养学生的想象力、自信心和合作精神。
3、通过学习本课,增强师生、生生间的相互了解和沟通。
4、培养学生的口头表达能力、阅读理解能力和写作能力。
三、学习者特征分析
1、利用多媒体课件上英语课,学生视听感受明显,表现出极大兴趣,在欣赏和享受中学习,学习效果很明显。
2、学生以前已经学过形容词的比较级和最高级,但掌握的强度不够,对单音节和多音节形容词的比较级和最高级的表达上总是出现错误。通过对本课的学习可以巩固所学知识,掌握用正确的语言结构表达人物特点和人物比较。
四、教学策略选择与设计
本课由三个任务组成,由浅入深,逐层递进,形成完整的任务链教学结构:
通过对图片的观察和分析、对比,学生自己发现形容词比较级的一般规律以及特殊规律。并将其熟练应用在班级教室内所见到的任何物品的比较之中。此任务不仅训练了有关人物和物品的比较分析,还涉及到跨学科学习的相关能力训练
听录音示范后,相互询问对方的朋友观,说明什么样的人是自己心目中认为的好朋友。
五、教学重点及难点
1. Is that Sam? No, that’s Tom. He has shorter hair than Sam. 2. He’s calmer than Sam. Tom is more athletic than Sam. 3. Liu Ying is not as good at sports as her sister. Lin Ping is a little more outgoing than me/ I am. 4. I am a little taller than her/ she is. 5. My friend is the same as me. We are both quiet. ?? My friend is different from me.

Step 1 Lead-in

Step 2 Revision
Revise the adjectives describing people's appearance and personalities: Divide the class into four groups and have a competition. See which group of the students can get as much as possible.
2、Show some photos about famous persons and talk about their personal traits, using deion words, such as short hair/long hair, tall/short, heavy/thin, funny/serious, outgoing/quiet, smart/foolish, beautiful/ugly, intelligent/lazy, friendly/unfriendly …etc, on the screen.

Write down on a piece of paper prepared before class. Students must collect them before class.

平时师生间接触多,但学生与老师的家人接触甚少,利用学生的心理和想象空间,调动学生的学习兴趣,增进师生间的相互了解。
了解学生对已学过的形容词比较级和最高级的掌握程度,为下一步巩固学习做好铺垫
复习已学内容,自然延伸到新课学习,起到承上启下的作用。
开展竞赛活动,既可调动课堂气氛,又可提高求知欲望,一举两得。
Step 3 Presentation
Learn some new words about personal traits: calm/wild, athletic/weak, using the pictures of 3 pairs of twins in Section A.
T: Who is calmer, Tom or Sam?
2·Do Section A-1a.Match each word with the opposite. Check the answers.
3、Get students to introduce the rules of the comparative and superlative degrees of adjectives.(Show them on the screen.)
S: Tom is calmer than Sam. Sam is wilder than Tam.
Tom is more athletic than Sam. Sam is weaker than Tom.

Unit 7 I am more outgoing than my sister
教材分析:
这是第七单元的第一课时的内容,其中心话题围绕Talk about personal traits and compare people这个题材开展多种教学活动,本节课是本单元的重点,通过听、说、读、写来培养学生综合运用知识的能力,通过有限的课堂实践活动,能准确地用英语在交际中运用本单元的话题对自己与他人进行描述,作出比较并进行判断。并让学生能在“做中学。”通过听、说、读、写来学习比较等级,加深对比较等级的语法现象的理解和运用,培养学生综合运用知识的能力能初步运用这一语言结构进行交谈,为后面 Section B 的学习打下基础,在本单元中起着承上启下的用。。?通过本课时的学习,能培养同学间的友好相处,规范自己的行为,同时能提高他们的观察能力和判断能力,激发他们对学习英语的兴趣和热情,在接近生活常态的交际中能乐于模仿,敢于开口,积极参与,主动请教。在此之前,学生已掌握部分形容词的用法。所以,这些对学生来说并不难,学生很容易掌握。基于上述对教材的分析,我确定本单元的教学重难点为词汇、形容词比较级的构成、形容词比较级的用法,能在交际中准确地运用本单元的话题对自己与他人进行描述,作出比较并进行判断。

My best friend and I 课后反思
我教初三上学期的时候接到一个通知备一节课,参加市教育局举办的同课异构课题研究活动。当时初二上册 unit7 I’m more outgoing than my sister这套教材是新教材我还没接触过,拿到课题后,我做的第一件事就是从教师用书中了解本节课的教学目标。认真研读完以后,我紧扣这四个教学目标,进行教学环节的设计。乡下学校的学生英语听力和口语相对薄弱,如果只是就书论书,学生肯定能充分的发展,但是拓展课外会出现学生冷堂的现象。所以必须既要有大量的拓课堂内容,又要适当地结合学生的基础拓展课外知识要根据教学内容进行发散性思维,编出与课文相关的各种活动。我主要把重点关注在一是对课文教授的游戏形式,通过闯关的形式使得学生的思维活跃有利于课堂教学。二是通过一个简单的为词语找到合适的家的活动让学生既训练了课文重点语法,又让学生能够做到自己总结形容词比较级的变化规律。三是整堂课口语优美并且贯穿了很多听力训练。目前中考听力部分的分值占二十分,而平时学生训练最少的也就是听力部分,所以我的目的是尽量让学生在每节课都有听力训练,这样对他们的听力水平的提高是有很大的帮助的。还把任务型教学引入到本节课,创设了“谈论自己”这个环节,和学生的生活息息相关,学生很感兴趣,谈论的积极性自然就非常高,即活跃了课堂,又增加了学生学习的兴趣。
结束后教研活动组长彭校长也提出了值得改进的地方。我在训练学生描述自己的特长时,通过师生问答,学生两两问答的形式,但是这样训练的缺点是不会的学生混在学生群里跟着混也听不出,只能两两互问,但是这样的话胆小的不敢问答也会和不会的混在一起,而使得问答环节出现冷场的可能。后来彭老校长针对这一状况给我提出了一个有效的解决方法,我觉得受益匪浅。这个方法就是追问,让学生分成几大组,以组的形式进行比赛,通过这种激烈的斗争激起学生的斗志使得他们都敢于发言,敢于说,这样很容易发觉学生掌握的好不好,对我今后在这一环节的教学提供了一个新的方法。其后彭校长还说道快乐英语教学法,即感言、能演、会唱、善写。在每节课中让他们玩各种类型的竞赛游戏,当然这些竞赛游戏都是和学习内容密切相关的,在游戏的同时也能激发学生的学习英语的兴趣,让他们学的快乐,让老师教的快乐。?
