Module 8 Unit 1 Is it a dog
一、教学目标
1.知识技能目标:
a)能听懂、会说句型:Is it a … Yes, it is. No, it isn’t. Help!!
b)能听懂、会说单词和词组:look\ fox\ kite\monster
c)能理解课文内容讲述的故事。
2.情感态度:
通过学生与同伴做猜图等的游戏,培养学生的合作精神和组织能力,同时培养学生的英语思维能力。
3.学习策略:
通过学习模仿,小组讨论交流等方法,学会运用所学的英语。
二、教具准备
录音机,单词卡片,图、实物、课件、挡板等
三、教学过程
Step 1: Warm up and revision
1) Sing the song and say the chants.
Song: 1, 2, 3, 4, stand up!
Chant: Pen and pencil.
I am a cat ca t,cat……
2) Greetings.
T.: Good afternoon, boys and girls.
Ss: Good afternoon, Miss Chen.
T.: Glad to see you again.
Ss: Glad to see you too.
T.: Are you happy today
Ss: Yes!
T.: I am so happy too.
3) Review the words. And learn the new word fox.
Teacher shows the cards and asks “what’s this ”
Ss: pen, pen, it’s a pen.
Teach “fox” in this way.
Step 2: Presentation
1.Present the task.
1). Make a scene.
T: Today it's ****'s birthday. So we should say……(Happy birthday to you! Let's sing a birthday song, ok
Ss sing a song.
T: Happy birthday, ****. And I prepare a present for ****. (Show a box)Can you guess what’s in the box Ok, today we will learn how to guess something.
(T. points to the title.)
等下我们还要举行一个猜图片的比赛
2. Learn the new sentences “Is it a… ”
1) Sentences.
T: If we want to guess something, we usually say “Is it a… ”
(T. writes the sentence on the blackboard. Let the Ss repeat group by group.)
T: Now can you guess what’s in the box
S: Is it a pen/pencil/book/eraser And so on
T: No it isn’t. (T. says with actions and let Ss repeat. teaches “no” and “no, it isn’t.”T. writes them on the blackboard.)
T.: Oh, look, (teach “look”.)
T.: Is it a fox
Ss: No, it isn’t.
T.: Is it a bird
Ss: Yes, it is.
Let the Ss learn to say “yes” and “Yes, it is.”(Write them on the blackboard.)
T.: Is it a bird
Ss: Yes, it is.
T.: A bird for you, ****.
2) kite
And I also want to draw a picture for ****. Can you guess what I want to draw
S1: Is it a ……?
T.: Yes, it is. No, it isn’t.
T.: Yes, it is a kite. (T. teaches kite.)
3) Monster
Today, Miss Chen 还邀请了几只动物来参加****的生日party. 你们能不能只听声音,并且用Is it a……的句型猜猜他们各是谁?
Listen to the sound of cat/ dog/ monster, and guess what it is.
Teach the word “monster.” monster, monster it’s a monster. Let the Ss imitate the sound of monster.
4)有的同学见到monster非常害怕,大叫“help”
你们能模仿一下吗 Teach the “help”’
5) Consolidation.
Is it a fox Yes, it is. Fox, fox
Ss read the word “Kite/ monster/help /yes/no/look“.
T: “Is it a monster ” “Yes, it is.”
在我们的课本里面也有一只monster. Do you want to have a look Open your books.
Now listen and point, ok
Listen and repeat.
Boys and girls have a match.
Step 3: Practice
1. Finish the task.
1).T. asks someone to stand front and face to the blackboard, then one of the other Ss say something to him, Let him guess who it is.
S: Is it xx
Ss: No, it isn’t. / Yes, it is.
2).Finish the task in pairs.
Now we will play a game “看谁猜得准?” 。Take out your pictures,
S1: Is it a…
S2: Yes, it is. \No, it isn’t.
S2: Is it a…
S1: Yes, it is. \No, it isn’t.
2.Chant
Choose some best students come to the front to act.
Bob, bob, bob is an orange dog.
Step 4: Consolidation
1. Open the Activity book and do.
1) Open the Activity Book, listen and circle.
2.Summary

Step 5: Assignment
1.Look! This is today's homework
1).listen to the tape and repeat Unit1. three times----five times. (有磁带的同学)
2).Play a guessing game with your partner.
