最高级的用法
在三者或三者以上进行比较时，要用最高级形 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )式。最高级前要用定冠词the，后接由in、on等构成的表比较范围的短语。of后面一般接表示一群人或事物的代词或名词，in后面一般接表示单位或场所的名词。 21cnjy.com
eg：Bill is the tallest boy of us.比尔是我们中最高的男孩。

最高级的构成
(1)规则变化
a)一般情况下，单音节和部分双音节，在原级后加 est，构成最高级。eg：long→longest　clever→cleverest
b)以字母e结尾的词，在原级后加 st构成最高级。
eg：nice→nicest　cute→cutest
c)以辅音字母＋y结尾的双音节，变y为i，再加 est构成最高级。
heavy→heaviest　friendly→friendliest
d)重读闭音节的词尾只有一个辅音字母时，先双写这个辅音字母，再加 est构成最高级。eg：
big→biggest　thin→thinnest
②多音节和部分双音节形容词，在原级前加most构成最高级。eg：
creative→most creative popular→most popular
(2)不规则变化
有一部分形容词的最高级构成没有规律，称为不规则变化，我们应牢记。
good/well→best bad/ill→worst
